While pursuing a side quest, the floor collapsed, transporting me to the Astral Plane for a new challenge. I cleansed a spectral carousel horse and unlocked the Evade ability.
After navigating dangerous obstacle courses and dodging explosive fire from golden enemies, I mastered the skill and returned safely to the Bureau.
The last time I noticed, there was a side quest that I decided to go on. I was going towards that room when suddenly the floor collapsed beneath my feet, and I fell into an unknown depth that shifted around me.
I noticed I was back in the Astral Plane, and I was hoping it was another tutorial for something great. I saw a glowing carousel horse in the distance and started running toward it across the shifting white platforms.
When I got close to the carousel horse, it looked like it was fading in and out of existence. I had to reach out and touch it to cleanse the object, which triggered a sudden surge of energy throughout Jesse's body.
I was taken to a place where shifting blocks were blocking and opening my paths in a short time. I had to use a new ability called Evade to dash through the gaps before the stone blocks crushed me.
After several tries, I could do it perfectly. It looked like I could evade such obstacles at high speed, turning Jesse into a blur of motion that the Board's architectural traps couldn't catch.
When I got to the other side, I learned that I can do it in the air as well. I used the air evade while jumping to pass a big gap that was previously impossible to cross with a standard leap.
After avoiding more obstacles, I reached a place where I found a golden enemy. I learned that these golden enemies are highly resistant to normal fire and can't be damaged with Jesse's power.
More of them were standing further back, and all of them were carrying big guns. They started shooting me with explosive ammo, forcing me to time my evades perfectly to avoid the blasts.
At one point, I had to jump and evade a lot of those explosive shells in mid-air. It looked like I was flying for a moment as I zig-zagged through the sky to touch the finish line before getting hit.
I was taken to another place consisting only of blocks, where I practised running and jumping evades toward a bright white light. The training felt intense, pushing my new reflexes to their absolute limit.
When I tried to enter the white light, the floor collapsed again, and I was sent back to the Bureau office from where I had disappeared. It was done, and I had successfully learned a cool new trick.
