Following a meeting with Chief Arish, I set out to repair the NSC coolant pumps. After surviving a surprise encounter with explosive Hiss enemies, I navigated a power-locked cage door by replacing power cores. I cleared a large chamber of floating Hiss soldiers using Launch strikes to maintain a safe distance.

After having the last conversation with Chief Arish in the security control room, my mission was updated to fix the NSC coolant pumps and the energy converters. I left him in the room to begin the process.

I went to the sign area directly and noticed the NSC coolant pumps were to the left and the energy converters were to the right. I decided to head towards the coolant pumps first to start the repairs.

When I was getting towards the door, some new kinds of evil beings came out and started trying to attack me. They were getting blown up when they got close, which unfortunately killed me very fast.

At the restart, I approached that same door again, but I didn't find any of those explosive beings this time. It felt a little weird, as if the Hiss had changed their defensive strategy during the reset.

I went inside and noticed a big red room on the other side of a cage door. There was a small room on my right where I found a material that was added to my assets.

The cage door was closed because of a power cut, so I had to replace the parts using my Launch ability. I launched a power core into the socket to restore energy to the mechanism.

The door opened once the part was replaced, and I noticed there were several Hiss soldiers floating in the air. I started attacking them immediately before they had a chance to land and take cover.

I moved ahead and found many soldiers below who were shooting at me. While I was winning the fight, a special enemy came close and blew up, nearly taking me along with the blast.

I had to be super careful this time to stay at a distance. I cleared the room by throwing heavy obstacles at the enemies from afar, ensuring they exploded well away from my position.

At last, I had to clean the remaining threats in this area. I began looking for my next entrance towards the coolant pumps that I would finally have to fix up to progress.

Using Launch to replace the power cores and throw heavy objects at soldiers was smart. Keeping your distance while clearing the chamber made the fight more intense.
Launch is really useful in moments like that. Using the environment helps a lot.
Those explosive enemies are terrifying. It is interesting how the they didn't reappear after the restart. The Hiss definitely keep you on your toes with those unpredictable spawns.
I was surprised they did not show up again. It keeps things unpredictable for sure.

I noticed that special enemy almost got you again. Managing the distance in these tight corridors must be the hardest part. Great job staying at a distance.
Yeah, that one almost caught me off guard. I tried to stay calm and keep moving as I did not want to get cornered again.
You did an excellent job adapting your strategy after that first death. Staying far away and using heavy obstacles should be the best way to handle the boomers. I liked how you survived a near-fatal blast and just kept moving.
Thanks, I had to adjust quickly after that first try. And, keeping distance made it more manageable.
