Upon reaching Central Research, I fought off Hiss entities and survived a heavy ground assault involving high-level soldiers and grenades. The journey ended at the locked Parapsychology doors, surrounded by the remains of Hiss-corrupted researchers.

After getting out of the service elevator and reaching Central Research, I noticed there were a lot of bodies floating in the air. These victims had not yet turned into Hiss hostiles, but they hung there like a haunting reminder of the building's corruption.

I found a directory board that showed Parapsychology was located further down that way. It was clear that reaching this department was the next logical step in my search for Marshall.

While I was checking the board, some flying Hiss entities emerged from a gap. I had to take care of them fast with my Service Weapon, as my Launch ability didn't seem to affect these agile targets very much.

The entire place was crawling with Hiss soldiers. I noticed some top-level enemies among them with significantly higher health bars, indicating that the resistance in this sector was going to be much tougher than what I had faced previously.

After taking cover behind some heavy concrete pillars, I kept up the pressure on the enemies. Several soldiers started throwing grenades toward my position, forcing me to take cover from the explosions and scramble for safety to avoid being overwhelmed.

Just when I thought the coast was clear, another wave of soldiers arrived. I almost died during the encounter and had to be extremely careful about taking damage while scrambling for health orbs dropped by fallen enemies.

I moved ahead and noticed the floor looked scorched or burned. I was not sure if stepping on it would drain my health, so I looked for a safer way to cross the room without touching the suspicious surface.

To avoid any risk, I jumped across some clear concrete platforms to reach an open elevator shaft. I looked down into the darkness, wondering if jumping into the shaft was the only way to reach the Paraschycology.

I decided to check the perimeter first and found the bodies of researchers across the floor. Their faces looked as if they had experienced horrible deaths, and the main door to Parapsychology was sealed shut with Hiss resonant properties.

Thankfully, I didn't have to fight another wave of Hiss in that specific area. I focused on the environmental details to find a workaround, eventually discovering a path that would take me inside the department and closer to Marshall.

I think this game has the most creepy and mysterious atmosphere to play. The floating bodies in Central Research made the area look scary.
I noticed you were being very careful with those scorched floors. In a place as unpredictable as the Bureau, it is always better to jump across platforms than to risk draining your health on a suspicious surface.
