I followed Lady Masako through the Golden Forest, where she revealed the tragic slaughter of her entire family by assassins. After honoring their hidden graves, we traveled to the Golden Temple. There, I located a monk named Sogen, whose cold and indifferent reaction to the clan's demise raised immediate suspicion.

Jin convinced Lady Masako to take him along with her. I followed her deep into the Golden Forest, listening as she explained how her clan was outnumbered and wiped out during the Mongol invasion.

After riding for a moment, we stopped in the heart of the forest. Masako mentioned she buried her family here in secret, far from the prying eyes of those who wished to desecrate their remains.

We got off the horses to honor the dead. Masako told me how she tried to save her sister, her grandchildren, and little Natsu, but the assassins caught them on the road and killed them all.

I started following Masako again as she mentioned we would ride for the Golden Temple. On the way, Jin expressed his sorrow, but Masako remained focused on the fact that the killers were still alive.

Upon reaching the gate, Masako said I would have to go in without her. She tasked me with finding a monk named Sogen to deliver the news and visiting an armorer who was working for her.

Leaving my horse behind, I ran inside the temple where a man named Junshin called to me. He mentioned he made this temple a haven for his people, and he told me Sogen should be sweeping the deck.

It was not hard finding the sweeping monk as he was close by. I approached him and initiated a conversation, observing his reactions carefully as I delivered the grim news of the Adachi clan.

Sogen acted surprised to see a samurai, but his facial expression did not support his words. He showed very little reaction to the death of the clan, which felt cautious and suspicious before the chat was finished.

Sogen's cold reaction at the Golden Temple was very suspicious. I am very much sure that he is one of the culprits who is behind these attacks. It made the story more tense and mysterious.

That reaction at the Golden Temple definitely felt off. Calm can sometimes be louder than panic.

The contrast between the beautiful forest and the tragedy of the Adachi clan is so heavy. Great job capturing the vibes.

I love how beauty and sorrow coexist in scenes like that. It makes the loss feel even heavier.

I felt so bad for Masako when she mentioned Natsu and the grandchildren. Losing everyone like that is just unimaginable. You got some stunning photos in this post.

Thank you, I tried to frame the shots in a way that respected the emotion of the scene. And Masako's grief adds so much emotional depth to the story.

You did a great job spotting Sogen's lack of emotion. In a game like this, a cold reaction is usually a dead giveaway. Sogen is definitely acting sus.

Right, sometimes the quietest character in the room is hiding the most.
