To recruit the Straw Hats to rescue Shimura, I tracked a trail of dead Mongols through a burning forest path. After putting a wounded soldier out of his misery, Jin reunited with his childhood friend Ryuzo, who led the mercenary group, right as a Mongol squad ambushed them.

Gaming Photography Weekly Contest.

The Straw Hats rumor had run in maybe rough around the edges, but I could use the blades to help rescue Shimura. So I decided to look them up, and I noticed there was smoke and a fire rising on my way toward the Kishi Grasslands.

Upon getting to the spot following the thick black haze, I found there was a cart and a tree burning, live. The dynamic flames licked at the splintered wood of the supply transport, lighting up the dynamic environment.

I had to investigate the burning cart and found a Mongol's dead body there, dropped face down in the dirt. And this investigation was the beginning of the new quest to find the elusive mercenary squad.

It looked like there were more bodies up ahead along the muddy ridge path, so I started moving ahead and followed the trail of dead Mongols. Their leather armor was slashed open by incredibly clean sword strikes.

I'm getting into these woods, walking through the tall ferns. I found a Mongol who was suffering from a deep wound to his chest, trying to get away from his attackers, so I ended his suffering.

I kept moving ahead, following the trail of dead Mongols deeper into the overgrown valley. And I had to reach a such area where I found a straw hat resting on top of a blood-stained rock formation.

Suddenly, a hidden Mongol was about to attack Jin from the tall grass, but he was taken care of by a straw hat ronin. And it looked like Jin was about to have a duel with him next.

But actually, the Ronin recognized Jin, and so did Jin. And it looked like they were friends from the childhood, and this ronin was called Ryuzo.

They had a conversation where Jin talked about saving his uncle from the fortress and asked the Ronin for his help about this. He offered them food and rewards if they joined his desperate cause.

When they were having this quiet conversation under the falling leaves, they were surrounded by a group of Mongol in the woods. And so they were prepared for a brutal fight ahead, drawing their katanas together.

The ending setup was perfect. Jin and Ryuzo finally reconnect, and immediately get surrounded by Mongols, which feels like the game was preparing for a classic samurai battlefield moment right after an emotional reunion.

The way you were moving the camera through the flames, it was cool. You have good eyes for photographs and I see your game has a good camera as well.

You went into the woods looking for an entire mercenary army and instead just found your old childhood buddy hanging out, that's great.

The Mongols thought they were pulling off a flawless surprise ambush, completely ignoring that they just surrounded two of the deadliest swordsmen in Tsushima.

Yeah, the confidence of those Mongols was honestly impressive.
