I traveled to the isolated desert to hunt a cougar for essential supplies. After an initial fire arrow strike from a tree, the beast retaliated with overwhelming speed. Despite a horseback chase and activating an overkill ability, the cougar overpowered me before I could finish the fight.
I noticed there were some supplies I was looking for at the isolated deserts, so I fast-traveled there. I started flying as Senu to check around the dunes, and I noticed there was this strong cougar who had what I was looking for.
I rode close to the cougar and positioned myself right above him on a tree branch. From there, I shot him with a fire arrow, but the beast started running away as soon as it felt the searing heat of the flames.
I chased the cougar and I started attacking it, hoping it would be easier to take down a beast instead of trained soldiers. But the predator was much stronger than I anticipated.
Suddenly, the cougar was overwhelming me with its attacks. You can see how Bayek was losing health rapidly as the animal's claws tore through his armor..
I decided to climb on a hill to survive from its wrath, and that worked well for the time being. From the elevated rocks, I had a moment to breathe and nock another arrow while the cougar circled below me.
I shot the cougar with my fire arrows again, and it started running away into the open desert. I called my mount and started chasing it on the desert way, determined not to let my valuable prize escape.
After getting ahead of the cougar, I started shooting it from my horseback to stay out of reach. I followed this strategy till the cougar decided to attack me back, leaping at the horse's legs to bring us both down.
After getting off the horse, I activated this overkill ability as I had it ready for a finishing move. I started attacking the cougar, hoping the overkill would overpower him for sure and end this long, exhausting hunt.
But I was so wrong, as the beast took me down where I did not even finish the overkill effect. The cougar's raw strength was too much, and I collapsed onto the sand as the predator claimed its victory over me.
