The Sickness.

In the Euhemeria slums, a mysterious sickness forced locals to burn their dead. After investigating the harbor, I discovered that the charity food provided by a local merchant was actually rancid and toxic. Then I brought the corrupt merchant to justice.

People were dying from a mysterious sickness in the Euhemeria slums. Locals had started burning the dead, even cursing them for eternity to stop the spread. I headed into the heart of the place to investigate the source of this tragedy.

I found a lady who was a healer, burning the dead bodies. When I asked why she was performing such a grim task, she mentioned that the dead must be burned to save the living. Her dedication to the survivors was clear despite the horrific circumstances.

I had to investigate the strange sickness further down at the Euhemeria harbor. As I was running toward the docks, the healer lady followed me, appearing eager to help uncover what was poisoning her people.

After reaching the harbor, I found a body but noticed no typical signs of a plague. Upon investigating the area, I discovered the bowls the villagers had been eating with were filthy and the food was rancid, smelling completely unfit for human consumption.

Bayek asked the healer lady where this food originated. She explained that a merchant prepared it for the poor; though it wasn't much, the locals were thankful for it, (unaware that his mercy was actually a death sentence).

Bayek insisted on speaking to this merchant. The healer lady volunteered to lead the way, and I followed her through the streets all the way to the merchant's home to find the truth.

Inside the kitchen, we found the disgusting filth the merchant was preparing for the slums. Suddenly, the merchant arrived on the scene with two guards, arrogantly asking if we were lost.

Bayek wasn't interested in a chat and decided to bring the man to justice immediately. The merchant ordered his guards to attack, and I engaged them in a fierce fight to clear a path to the mastermind.

I noticed the merchant was trying to escape while I was occupied with his guards. Leaving the remaining soldiers behind, I sprinted out of the house and began a desperate chase through the streets.

After chasing him for a moment, I loosed some fire arrows to slow him down. Once he slowed down, I moved in for a final assassination, ending his reign of poisoned charity.

Even with the main target neutralized and the mission completed, one of his loyal guards remained. He tried to take me down in a fit of rage, so I had to finish him off as well before leaving the harbor.

I'll show more of my photographic journey of the games soon, so stay tuned to my blog if you liked them.

The screenshots are taken by me personally from my gameplay and I borrowed the game's logo from DevianArt.

You explained the investigation part very well. The way you slowly uncovered the truth behind the sickness made the story engaging.

It's frustrating that the locals were thankful for the food, never realizing it was actually a death sentence. Bayek's anger when he found the kitchen filth was completely justified.

I liked the emotional contrast between the healer trying to save people. That twist made the quest feel much darker and more meaningful.

The chase scene through the streets and the final arrow attack were exciting. It was felt like a satisfying end to a mystery.

I like how you managed the combat in the merchant's house. Keeping track of the guards while making sure the main target didn't slip away shows great battlefield awareness.

It's interesting to see all those deserted structures where you always find some enemy to kill, and practically the entire environment is ideal for attacking using stealth mode. Plus, you do a great job with the angles in your screenshots.
