Lost in the Qattara Depression.

in Gaming Photography7 hours ago

While exploring the Qattara Depression in Egypt, I avoided rebel fights to focus on the mysteries of the desert. I witnessed mirages, strange travelers, insects falling from an artificial sky, and ghost-like riders. After being killed by desert bandits, I discovered a hidden settlement with a cave temple that led to a lake filled with corpses.

I was at Qattara Depression, which is the lowest point in Egypt. Dried-out lakes, ledges, and few oases characterize it.

I noticed some rebels around but I didn't want to get into fight with them as I was all about exploring the desert and look what else was waiting for me in the wild.

I was riding towards a point of interest that was at a long distance. Some vultures started following me as if they knew I would die soon and they would have a good meal.

I started seeing mirages and this time it was about a burning little tree that was getting burned and I heard someone chanting aloud. When I went close to the tree, the fire was vanished and it became a normal tree.

Then I noticed some peoples riding on the desert at a distance. I thought they would be ghosts. So I went closer and they were like cloning each other and they became double in numbers. So I just ignored them.

And then this scary thing happened for the first time. The sky above me got this artificial cloud and there were insects falling down and they were flying around me. It was a scary moment for sure.

At that very moment, I noticed the white-dressed traveler was pointing something to me. I went closer, he vanished, so I was taking the way that he was pointing out, and I noticed him once more pointing to another direction, so I kept following the route, but I I failed to get where he was trying to send me.

I noticed some civilians on my way who were walking on foot when they had camels around them full of belongings. And then some desert bandits started chasing me. I was trying to escape them, but they killed me with arrows.

The map showed something around me, so I started looking around, and I used Senu's help to pin the exact location. Otherwise, I would just climb a big mountain to see I didn't need to do it.

It was like a temporary village or town where some peoples were living and there was this cave that they were using as a temple or something like that where they were praying.

I noticed there are loots around, so I was going deep inside the cave. That lead me towards a lake, where I noticed some corpses. It was like a graveyard with corpses.

I'll show more of my photographic journey of the games soon, so stay tuned to my blog if you liked them.

The screenshots are taken by me personally from my gameplay and I borrowed the game's logo from DevianArt.
