To expose the treasurer controlling the Karkh district, I used Enkidu to find a rooftop bandit meeting. After infiltrating the roof and neutralizing multiple guards with throwing knives, I detonated an explosive jar to eliminate the main targets, looted a locked supply chest, and returned to the streets below.

I had to assassinate the treasurer who is sitting at the top of Karkh's web of power, controlling taxes and extorting the merchants of Karkh. I had to look for intel to expose the treasurer's identity, searching through local records and whispering crowds to find a solid lead.

I called in Enkidu to look for intel in the bazaar from a high bird's-eye view. And I noticed there was a meeting of bandits on top on the roof of the big building of the bazaar.

I decided to infiltrate that meeting to see what secrets they were sharing, so I climbed up on top of that roof. I found there were guards around patrolling the roof.

Before getting to the men who were in a dense conversation about their stolen goods, I started taking care of some guards with throwing knives. The blades flew silently through the air, dropping the outer sentries into the shadows before they could scream.

Then I noticed there was another guard at another side of the roof near the hanging fabrics, whom I tried to take down with a throwing knife. But he survived the initial strike as it caught his shoulder armor, alerting him to my exact position.

The guard then started chasing me with his sword drawn. So after climbing up on a height to break his line of sight, I took him down using another throwing knife, hitting a vital spot to end the pursuit.

And at last, I reached close to those men having a conversation without being spotted by the remaining lookouts. They had an explosive jar beside them, which I exploded throwing a knife.

As all the guards on the roof were neutralized, I at last jumped down into the central area. I found the bazaar rooftop bandit's chest key, which I used to unlock this chest and found some good supplies there.

I thought it was one of the vital intel pieces I was looking for to reveal the treasurer's face, but no, it was just something that would give me some cool supply. So I jumped off that roof to get back to my main mission.
Until next time, happy gaming.

Oh man, Basim just left our new home last time I played Valhalla. He left Haytham to us, though. Every time I see your post of Mirage, I get excited knowing I've seen the future of Basim in my game already, though Mirage came long after Valhalla.
The ending was also pretty realistic in a good way. Thinking the chest contained major intel, only to find ordinary supplies instead, made the investigation feel grounded.
The moment the guard survived the first knife hit added a lot of tension. It instantly changed the situation from controlled stealth to a dangerous chase across the rooftop.
