Roshan left me to investigate guard activity in Karkh Market. After witnessing merchants being harassed, I assassinated a Tha'abeen member to collect a mysterious shard. I learned of extortion and seized goods, leading me to ride south of Baghdad to find a merchant camp hidden in the wilderness.

Roshan left me in the market alone after mentioning she heard about guards seizing foreign goods from the eastern road. I started surveying the area to see what was happening to the locals.

The first thing I found was some merchants crying over their broken shop. They mentioned that those guards have no mercy and take whatever they want from the people.

While I was on my mission to uncover the mystery in the market, I noticed one of the Tha'abeen members. She was carrying a mysterious shard that I needed for my collection.

I went after her immediately and escorted her guard without notifying her. I stayed close in the shadows, waiting for the right moment to strike.

I decided that I'd just steal the shard from the lady without hurting her. I was following her quietly through the crowd, but she suddenly joined a soldier for a gossip, which made it impossible for me to pick her pocket without being seen by the guard.

The situation forced me to change my plans and assassinate both the lady and that soldier. I had to move quickly to collect the shard real fast so I could continue my investigation in the market.

I reached another merchant's shop and found some guards were teasing a lady merchant. I stepped in and offered the guards a token to make them go away. They took the bribe and finally left the merchant in peace.

I talked to the merchant who gave me news about someone extorting coins from the people in Karkh. She told me that traveling merchants were stranded outside Baghdad because their goods had been seized by the guards.
I realized I had to find these stranded merchants to the south of the city to get more answers.

The lady gave me more news in the market about the missing merchants. She said they were last seen around the southern part of Baghdad. I called Enkidu to check the area from the sky, but it looked like I was too far behind to see anything from my current position near the walls.

I called my mount and started riding out of the city toward the wilderness. I headed south of Baghdad as fast as I could. I kept my eyes on the horizon for any sign of a camp or a group of people.

After reaching close to the area, I stopped there to check around the landscape. I saw an under-constructed palace in the distance and guessed that might be the place I was looking for.

I called Enkidu again to see if we could confirm the location. From the bird's eye view, I noticed the camp I was looking for was actually further into the wilderness. I could see the tents and the people from above, and I knew that was exactly where the missing merchants could be found.
Until next time, happy gaming.

Great shots! My favorite is the one you took in front of the Caliph's soldiers, but the assassination in front of the nun definitely has a lot of 'aura' too.
Thanks, I enjoy capturing those moments.

The journey to the wilderness was very nice. You used Enkidu to find the camp, which was very cool. It felt like a smart and calm way to continue the mission.
I let the eagle do the hard work firs, haha.
Using a token to bribe the guards was a smooth move. It is a nice change of pace from combat and shows that Basim has more than one way to solve a problem in the city.
Yes, a little bribe saved a lot of trouble.
You did an excellent job balancing the investigation in the market with the exploration of the desert. Seeing the under-constructed palace in the distance was a cool detail.
Thanks, I liked how both areas had their own vibe.
