Dawn's Relief.

While tracking the beast at night, I died from a high fall and a sudden Volatile chase during separate attempts. When daylight broke, I felt safe to explore an unknown vanity store. After clearing a room in a nearby apartment, I crawled into the store's entrance, finding it filled with infected.

I had to hunt the beast before the trail fades following its traces across the rooftops. So I started following the traces in the dark night, keeping my flashlight low, but I faced aggressive monsters blocking my path on my way.

After checking around for a moment to find a way to be following the traces without dropping into the street, I tried a big jump toward a distant ledge. I misjudged the distance completely, and I died from the fall.

I had to escape the facility again at the restart to resume the hunt. This time I noticed an unknown location that I decided to check on, but there were some infected on the way, so I had to take care of some of them first.

I had to get to the street level to get to the unknown location to see what was hidden there. But a chase began as a deadly Volatile saw me out of nowhere from an alleyway, and yeah, I was dead before I knew it.

At the next restart, I had to escape the facility again after losing my progress. And I was looking for a way to follow the traces of the beast without getting to the street level. But there were some infected on my way, then I had to take care of them quietly.

At last, I could see daylight breaking over the city skyline, which relieved me greatly as I knew the terrifying Volatiles wouldn't be around at daytime.

Now that I didn't have to fear the Volatiles turning me into a midnight snack, I decided to check on the vanity store, which was listed as unknown locations. But on my way there, I entered an open apartment and found an infected that I took down in brutal melee.

At last, I reached the vanity store's only entrance that was through a low hole. After crawling ahead through the hole, I found this place was filled with scary infected standing in the dark, and I got confused about what to do next.

I'll show what happens next later.

I personally took all the screenshots from my play and I used a logo of the game from online to use in the thumbnail.

This is Pikachuuuuu signing off. Over and out.

Missing that ledge and taking a fatal fall to the street was a brutal way to lose the trail on the first attempt. And that Volatile chase was like a nightmare. I noticed how hard you tried to get away but it seemed a lot faster than you where you didn't have a chance to survive at all.

Yeah, there was barely any room to survive there.

Watching the sunrise over the city skyline must have been an incredible relief after all that chaos.
Knowing the Volatiles are forced back underground, completely changed the pacing and lets you breathe a little easier, it looked like.

Right, the pacing becomes so much calmer after surviving the night.

Tracking that beast across the rooftops at night looked incredibly stressful. I'm not trying this game ever just for those volatiles, lol.

I do not blame you, Volatiles are nightmare fuel honestly.

I liked the contrast once daylight arrived. After surviving all that pressure and fear, the sunrise must have felt genuinely relieving before you started exploring the unknown location more calmly.

Yeah , that shift from fear to calm worked really well.

You did an amazing job building up the tension for this exploration segment. Leaving off just as you crawled into a heavily infested tore creates an incredibly engaging setup for your next move.

That crawl into the infested area felt really unsettling and I wanted to end the post right before entering which should the tension feel stronger.
