I followed Drax into a surreal encounter where he hallucinated Thanos. After a terrifying jump into the unknown, I led the team in a desperate battle against the Titan. Despite a motivated huddle and heavy attacks, Thanos multiplied into three threats, leading to an inevitable and scripted defeat.

When we were walking through the area, Adam Warlock mentioned that our friend's fear and pain primed him as prey. He claimed to know more than he let on as we moved deeper into the access.

As we walked away, we noticed Drax was digging frantically. Suddenly, a massive head of Thanos appeared with an evil laugh, and Drax jumped toward him, unable to hold back his rage.

We also ran after Drax and had to jump into the void, hoping there was something to land on. Peter wanted someone else to check the height first, but we had no choice.

After getting a messy landing, we found Thanos standing before us. I never thought I would actually have to fight him, but the confrontation was unavoidable at that moment.

It was Thanos, so I didn't want to take any chances with our morale. I called for a huddle to motivate the team and get everyone's head in the game for the fight.

After getting out of the huddle, I was commanding all the team members to give Thanos hell. Groot struck him with his vines while I attacked alongside the other members.

After I tried some individual attacks, I commanded Rocket to try his newly unlocked ability. I wanted to see if his heavy weaponry could make a dent in the beast's defenses.

Wait a minute, I noticed Warlock was just enjoying the fight from afar. He was perched on top of a height, watching us struggle without lifting a finger to help us out.

Just when I thought taking down Thanos was going too easily, Warlock said it was not what we thought. Suddenly, Thanos started multiplying himself right before our very eyes.

I thought we were fighting two, but when I checked with the photo mode, I noticed there were actually three of them. I tried hard, but I was eventually taken down by the threats.

Then it looked like I didn't die after all. This defeat was actually meant to have happened as part of the trial, and we found ourselves transported to another mysterious place entirely.
I'll show what happens next later.
I personally took all the screenshots from my play and I used a logo of the game from online to use in the thumbnail.
This is Pikachuuuuu signing off. Over and out.

I was genuinely surprised when Thanos started multiplying. It should be hard enough to fight one Thanos, but three of them at once is just unfair, even for the Guardians.
Reaching for the photo mode to confirm there were three of them was a smart move. It's the best way to catch those chaotic details in the heat of battle.
The hallucination scene with Drax the Destroyer was very emotional. Seeing him lose control because of Thanos made the moment personal and powerful.
