theHunter: Call of the Wild – Beauty of Yukon Valley Reserve

in Gaming Photography19 hours ago

Hello and welcome back to my blog!

There are a lot of beautiful reserves where you can hunt a lot of different species of animals in their native habitats. However, there are a few reserves that shine in their beauty, rather than the animals found there. One such map is the Yukon Valley Nature Reserve.

I am here to showcase its beauty in pictures.

This reserve is based on a real location, the Yukon River basin in Alaska. I am thousands of miles away from that place, and the best way for me to experience such landscapes and biomes is to explore them in a virtual world.

There is a big river basin on the southern side of this map. I love to hunt around here. You can find a lot of big animals in these plains. But I will talk about them later. Look at this tall tree, which was standing all alone.

I love the weather in this map. It can change from bright and mostly clear sky to cloudy in like five minutes, and start snowing.

Whenever it snows, the entire landscape changes as the snow settles on the grass and leaves of the trees. In just a couple of minutes, you won't be able to recognise the area. Look how much the above place changed with a couple of minutes of snowfall.

Just like how quickly this snow covered these plains, it can melt away as well. After a few minutes of sunlight, this entire place was back to green. That rarely happens in any other reserve.

But that snow is not the only reason I love this reserve. The biggest reason would be the region called Crimson Plains. As the name suggests, it is filled with shrubs and vegetation with crimson colour.

These crimson plains are one of my favourite places to hunt. You can see animals from far away. There are some big lakes which animals love to visit.

Stalking your prey here is not that easy. It lacks big shrubs and vegetation where you can easily hide, so once in a while, going full prone is the best idea. You can see me trying to get close to a big male moose.

I found a big group of bison as well. Even they didn't want to pick a fight with me today. Sometimes, they get defensive and attack you, which rarely works well for them.

You can find Grizzly Bears on this map. They are one of the biggest bears you can hunt in this game.

Caribou are also found in this map. They have one of the most interesting sets of antlers and are not super hard to catch.

Let me know your thoughts about this reserve. I love the colours in this map. Everywhere you go, it is full of bright colours. It has a good variety of animals to hunt and a healthy population to choose from. Yukon Valley Reserves never disappoints me and is one of my personal favourite reserves in the entire game.
