Toward Queens.

in Gaming Photography • 4 days ago

Switching to Miles, I glided through Astoria and caught a train ride toward Queens. After accidentally falling off the tracks near Peter's house, I triggered a final story upgrade warning. Inside, Miles, Peter, and MJ gathered to plan, but an audio glitch forced me to abandon and restart the mission.

Having switched to Miles during the previous session to mess around with his raw Venom powers, I found myself perched atop a large, ruined building, the site of an intense battle from the Miles Morales standalone title.

Looking out into the distance, I spotted a train headed toward Queens, where my next objective lay. Deciding to hitch a ride, I deployed my web-wings and glided through Astoria toward the tracks.

Swinging and gliding as either Spider-Man is always an absolute blast, though my initial timing was slightly off, causing me to drop off the bridge. Adjusting my course, I landed cleanly on the roof of the train to catch a lift.

Riding the rails was a fun change of pace. The bridge line was wide enough to fit three trains side-by-side, giving a great view of passing cars as we headed toward Queens.

The train briefly slowed down at a station, likely to board passengers, putting me close to my destination. However, when it accelerated again, the sudden burst of speed threw me off the front.

Trying to jump back aboard, I miscalculated, took a hit from the rear car, and tumbled off the bridge structure entirely.

Taking that as my cue to abandon the train ride, I opened my web-wings and glided through the suburban neighborhoods of Queens toward Peter's house.

Arriving at the house, where Peter and MJ were waiting, a game prompt popped up: a point-of-no-return warning informing me that this was the final chance to collect resources and craft gear upgrades before entering the story's climax.

Caught off guard by how fast the narrative had reached its final stretch, I pushed forward anyway, hoping side activities would remain available after the main story wrapped up.

Stepping inside, Miles, Peter, and MJ convened around a table to discuss their plan regarding the city's water system. However, the cutscene audio suddenly cut out, likely a bug triggered by toggling graphics and ray-tracing settings earlier.

After trying to fix the missing dialogue in the settings menu without success, I decided to abandon the mission and restart it to restore the audio before continuing.

That's all for now. I'll write about more of this story again soon. Be safe till we meet again.
Au revoir/Goodbye.

I’m not really a fan of the Morales storyline; he’s actually my least favorite Spider-Man. But the suit definitely looks great.

I'm kinda loving the character. I still don't have any least favorite for Spider-Man, hehe.

LOL Perhaps we belong to different generations. Honestly, it’s one of the story arcs I like the least. It feels like a version of Spider-Man that tries too hard—desperately so—to adapt the character to modern times. xD

As you didn't know the story was nearly done, that prompt must have hit hard. That point of no return warning came fast.

Yeah for sure.
