I stepped through a portal, entering a covert simulation where I rescued a hostage from a terrorist situation. After completing the side content, Diaz checked drone footage with Rigby, then I raced across American Plains in my Silva car to intercept mercenaries before they could seize critical tech.
In looking for the mind behind MindsEye, Diaz got this strange feeling as if he was seeing things from his early times. Then he came back and we noticed this portal ahead of us, which is a side content, that I could ignore, but I was not ignoring the first one at least.
I walked through the portal and I was dragged into a covert operation. The set looked took place in a desert and I was shown a bunch of terrorists in an area and our team pushing in.
I had to rescue a hostage from the terrorists along with my colleagues there. It seemed like I was playing in a simulation and the set was not as detailed as the real game.
I pushed forward towards the terrorists while they were trying hard to hold their ground. The worst thing was that it was hard to understand who the terrorists were sometimes. Like I died thinking some terrorists as my own men for the first time.
I pushed in harder and became careful the next time so I could make it to the hostage and rescue him, which completed the side content. I noticed I could abort the content as well.
Rigby called me to inform me about getting footage from the drone. I checked the footage right away and found some mercenaries talking about not getting the package in their hands.
Rigby asked me to get to the spot while she and Lars would keep watch and update me. I found my brand new Silva car outside the main reception and I started driving it towards Redrock Plains.
While I was driving, I noticed the moon looked beautiful. I was ordered to get there as fast as I could so the mercenaries don't find the tech before me.
And at last, American Plains.
