Lifeless Puppet City (Lies of Pi Screenshots)

It's difficult to take screenshots in this game, unless the area is clear of enemy contact. You know, that's the beauty in this game, the victorian age design intermixed with the industrial structures. Creating this grim, soggy, nihilistic view of world once was.

No, it's not like Bloodborne at all despite what many would like to think. Lies of P brings so much radiance and hollowness, both contrasting things that apply well to the overall themes of the game. A coexisting dichotomy if you will. As I've said before, most of the shots here will feature areas of each level, without the UI present. That one took quite the effort (not really). Enjoy.

There's nothing more regal than the insides of Hotel Krat. The last bastion for Geppetto, and his vessels in service. Including of one doing his bidding, named Pinocchio. Damn, that Ray-Traced reflection.

In the plaza, after arriving from Krat Central Station. This game runs near 120FPS in my 6700 XT with this level of detail. The drippy puddles, low casted ambient occlusion, and well-lit windows.

Just up the stairs of my left, the sky box, and residence illuminated in the distance.

This is where I fought the stalker that held Geppetto hostage. This guy knew how to hit puppets alright, his close up was fast, he was a ferocious fighter, but also tactical to stand back. I couldn't parry his attacks, so I observed the attack telegraphy, and just cheesed him at him.

I wanted to reach that one area in the suburban area, above the streets, looking down on the mad puppets. But that seemingly can be done in almost every area in that level. It is monotone at times, because you have the skybox, same lighting, and color range.

But how these places juxtaposes with other different elements really again, provides that dichotomy. The level designers, and visual artists did an amazing job of just capturing this city. It probably wouldn't so different without the human massacres going on. But, this whole thing has an Edgar Allan Poe vibe going on, and I really dig it. Especially with the depth it captures.

The Watchman hit me from the top, this 4 square clocktower arena was a ground to stand against a menacing boss. Not as menacing as the other terrifying ones, but yeah, he brought his game.

This just looks nice. Also for my first boss battle, and yet, just glue your eye on this.

I had to fight several foes to clear this area for the shot. I wish I spent more time on this area, minimalistic in its design, kind of like an open statement on the deprived life of industrialization. You also probably seeing me switching weapons, yeah the Wo Long DLC finally kicked in earlier.

No amount of dolls are going to stop me from risking this one. If you look closer, one is still patrolling.

Amazing captures, the dark style that some views of the city have makes it very interesting, it reminds me of other games that I played before, thanks for sharing
