I was just thinking about what the world would look like without science. Have you ever thought of it, no light, no good, fast and comfortable means of transportation, the medical sectors and the rest? I think the world will really be in chaos with science. there will be a lot of pain and suffering. The enjoyment and comfort we all have today owe so much to the great scientist who went out of their comfort to conduct several experiments to get a tested and proven result. I think those experiments made in the past to be in today's world would have ended some of the scientists' legal consequences.
Sometimes I do wonder what birth the ideas in this guy's mind, try to invent something you have never seen before is not an easy task, you have to go along way to even get the resources needed, I was reading a book long te ago and the writer wrote something that strokes my heart, he said that invention came in as a result of problems, so these scientists saw the challenges people were going through and thought of bringing in a lasting solutions. And the interesting thing is that most of them I've failed several times trying to bring theirs solutions to reality and yet they didn't give up, if it was in today's world discouragement would have come in from family members, friends even the society you were trying to save won't have told you to give up and I believe this guys had such experiences yet they still pressed on.
A beverage company in my country called 7UP was named that because the inventor of that drink has tried six times and failed in his experiment and then the seventh time was when he got it and he named the drink 7UP. In my country that is one of the best soft drinks you can enjoy.
However, we won't look at the good science has done and forgot the bad, I will say that science is a double-edged sword, in one hand it has brought light and ground breaking discoveries that has impacted the world be it in medicine, that has been able to save lives and reduce the rate of death and disease, technology that has ease human stress all these benefits are undeniable and have significantly improved the quality of life across the globe. On the other hand, we won't deny that facts that the advancement of science has a dark side, we seen some scientists who have violated the law and went into inventing things that has caused disaster and havoc to humanity, some invention has caused people to lost their lives all this cams as a result of try to invent things.
We know that without people trying out new things there won't be an invention, but I'm scared because science is going too far both in the good side and the bad, I think the government of the world should come together and create a law and enforce it that will guide people who wants to venture into innovations, to ensure that anyone who wants to do experiments adhere to strict ethical guidelines. Researchers must obtain informed consent from the government or those who are in charge before they embark on any innovations, prioritizing the well-being of humanity first, saving the earth and making sure that the new invention is not going to destroy it, and ensuring that the potential benefits of the research outweigh any risks involved.
