Greetings, we are pleased to announce that from today begins the eighth week with *the initiative Human Culture: Aesthetics, with the intention of continuing to promote a humanistic reflection in a general way. We want to propose a reflection on aesthetics as an important branch of philosophy with profound implications in our daily life.
But, before explaining what the initiative consists of, we would like to thank all those who have participated in the seventh week of the initiative around human development. The leaders of the community are deeply pleased with the reflections and writings that have been proposed, and after having successfully completed the seventh week of Human Culture: Human Development, we want to share with all the posts that have starred in the initiative.
What is aesthetics?
Briefly we can define aesthetics as the branch of philosophy that studies the sensations and perceptions of what we can call beauty. Its task is to reflect on aesthetic judgments, it asks questions such as why do we consider such and such a thing as beautiful? Also things like ugliness, perceiving something as sublime is an aesthetic judgment. If you want to read a little more about what aesthetics is give click here
In human history aesthetic values have not been the same, what seemed beautiful to us 500 years ago may not be the same as what seems beautiful to us today. Art in a broad sense as a human expression tries to manifest the feeling of beauty. Now, this week's initiative is not to define aesthetics, but to examine what are my aesthetic values, to ask ourselves why we believe what we believe in an aesthetic sense, why this seems beautiful to me or why this does not, and to try to outline how my aesthetic values influence my life. Also ask ourselves if we have always had the same judgments or have they changed in our history.
As every week the initiative is totally free, you do not have to answer anything specific, what we have written as questions generating proposals or ideas about aesthetics and reflect on how these value judgments affect our daily lives, in short they are just ideas to help you orient yourself and you can decide what to contribute in this initiative.
The rules for the initiative are the same for each week:
- Post with no less than 500 words per language.
- If you do it in video format with a minimum length of 3 minutes, use 3Speak.
- Be sure to use good spelling.
- Use the hashtags #humanitas and #humanculture.
- Comment on other entries.
- Invite at least one other person on the platform to participate in the initiative.
Remember:
We seek originality and creativity, therefore under no circumstances will we admit plagiarism, we want to promote critical thinking and healthy debate, during the last weeks we have managed to demonstrate that as a community we can address issues that may be controversial in principle, or tend towards the controversial, but if we approach it with criteria, with discursive responsibility and above all empathy and respect, there is no need to polemicize the points of view, always with criteria and willingness to mood we can create deep and thoughtful dialogues collaborating in the construction of knowledge on the web3.

Iniciativa: Cultura Humana semana 8: Estética
Saludos, nos complace anunciar que a partir de hoy comienza la octava semana con la iniciativa Cultura Humana: Estética, con la intención de seguir promoviendo una reflexión humanística de manera general. Queremos proponer una reflexión sobre la estética como una rama importante de la filosofía con profundas implicancias en nuestra cotidianidad.
Pero, antes de explicar en qué consiste la iniciativa queremos agradecer a todos los que han participado en la séptima semana de la iniciativa en torno al desarrollo humano. Los líderes de la comunidad están profundamente contentos con las reflexiones y escritos que sea han propuesto, y tras haber culminado satisfactoriamente la séptima semana de Cultura Humana:Desarrollo Humano, queremos compartir con todos los post que han protagonizado la iniciativa.

¿Qué es la estética?
De manera breve podemos definir la estética como la rama de la filosofía que estudia las sensaciones y las percepciones de lo que podemos llamar belleza. Su tarea es reflexionar sobre los juicios estéticos, se pregunta cosas como ¿por qué consideramos tal o cual cosa como bello? En la historia humana los valores estéticos no han sido los mismos, lo que nos parecía bello hace 500 años quizá no sea lo mismo que nos parezca bello hoy. El arte en sentido amplio como expresión humana intenta manifestar el sentimiento de lo bello. Ahora bien, la iniciativa de esta semana no es definir la estética, sino, escudriñar ¿cuáles son mis valores estéticos? ¿Preguntarnos por qué creemos lo que creemos en sentido estético? ¿Por que esto me parece bello o porque esto otro no? e intentar esbozar cómo influyen mis valores estéticos en mi vida. También preguntarnos si siempre hemos tenido los mismos juicios o han cambiado en nuestra historia.
Como cada semana la iniciativa es totalmente libre, no tienes que responder nada en específico, lo que hemos escrito como preguntas generadoras de propuestas o ideas sobre la estética y reflexionar cómo estos juicios de valor afectan nuestra cotidianidad, en resumen no son más que ideas que te ayuden a orientarte y puedas decidir que aportar en esta iniciativa.
Las reglas para la iniciativa son las mismas para cada semana:
- Post con no menos de 500 palabras por idiomas.
- Si lo haces en formato de video que posea una duración mínima de 3 minutos, utiliza 3Speak.
- Asegúrate de utilizar buena ortografía.
- Utiliza las etiquetas #humanitas y #humanculture
- Comenta otras participaciones.
- Invita a participar en la iniciativa a al menos a otra persona de la plataforma.
Recuerda:
Buscamos originalidad y creatividad, por tanto bajo ninguna circunstancia admitiremos plago, queremos promover el pensamiento crítico y el sano debate, durante las últimas semanas hemos logrado demostrar que como comunidad podemos abordar temáticas que pueden ser en principio polémicas, o tender hacia lo polémico, pero que si le abordamos con criterios, con responsabilidad discursiva y sobre todo empatía y respeto, no hay necesidad de polemizar los puntos de vista, siempre con criterio y disposición de ánimo podemos crear diálogos profundos y reflexivos colaborando en la construcción de conocimientos en la web3.
