This app provides us with too much data, and I confess that I am somewhat thoughtful about it. I would like to take some time to think about each piece of data. Without a doubt, one of the pieces of data that caught my attention the most was the number of words I have written. To date, I have written about 1,377,910 words, or what would be one million three hundred seventy-seven thousand nine hundred ten words in my five and a half years as a content creator on Hive.
Honestly, it had never occurred to me to wonder about the number of words written in my posts, and yes, having written so many is a reason to ask myself the question: Can I consider myself a writer? I know that in the traditional sense I haven't written a book, but knowing that on average a book could have between 70,000 and 120,000 words, it could be said that in terms of quantity I have written several texts, at least about 10. Thinking about this has struck me as completely mind-blowing and makes me wonder, why don't I dare to publish a text?
On the other hand, it occurred to me to cross-reference this information with other, different data. In the previously shared Dapp, take the number of words and go to https://hivestats.io/ to see how many Hive I have received per word. In my case, it is about 0.011598 Hive per word. Is that a lot or a little? I don't know, and I don't think I'm interested in judging it in that sense.
I am only interested in thinking about my work as a creator, and this #hive14challenge makes me reflect on that. It reaffirms my commitment to doing what I love: writing, putting ideas and thoughts into words, sharing a little bit of my daily life with a community that feels like family. I don't want to sound corny, but one of the best things that has happened to me in my life is coming to Hive.
Now, going back to the initial question, whether I can consider myself a writer or not, I don't know. In my case, it is undoubtedly a kind of craft that satisfies me, and I would like to think about the possibility of living off my writing 100%. What do you think, dear reader? Son demasiados datos los que esta aplicación nos brinda y confieso estoy algo reflexivo con ello, me gustaría darme un tiempo para pensar cada uno de estos datos. Sin duda un de los datos qué más me llamó la atención ha sido la cantidad de palabras que he escrito, hasta la fecha
he escrito unas 1,377,910 o lo que sería un millón trescientos setenta y siete mil novecientas diez palabras en mis 5 años y medio como creador de contenido en Hive.
Honestamente nunca se me había ocurrido preguntarme por la cantidad de palabras escritas en mis publicaciones y si, haber escrito tantas son un aval para hacerme la pregunta ¿Me puedo considerar un escritor? se que de modo tradicional no he escrito un libro, pero, sabiendo que en promedio un libro podría tener entre 70,000 y 120,000 podría decirse que en cantidad he escrito varios textos, por lo menos unos 10. Pensar eso me ha parecido algo completamente alucinante y me hace preguntarme ¿Por qué no me animo a publicar un texto?
Por otro lado, se me ha ocurrido cruzar la información con otra, de diferente índole. En la Dapp previamente compartida tomar la cantidad de palabras y ir a https://hivestats.io/ y ver cuantos hive he recibido por palabra, en mi caso unos 0,011598 Hive por palabra, ¿mucho o poco? no sé, creo que no me interesa juzgarlo en ese sentido.
Solo me interesa pensar mi quehacer como creador y precisamente este reto #hive14challenge me hace reflexionar al respecto, es una reafirmación de mi compromiso conmigo en esta labor de hacer precisamente lo que me gusta escribir, plasmar ideas y disertaciones en palabras, compartir un poco de mi día a día con una comunidad que siento com familia y no quiero caer en cursilerías, pero, de las mejores cosas que me ha pasado en la vida es llegar a Hive.
Ahora bien, volviendo sobre la pregunta inicial, que si me puedo considerar un escritor o no, no lo sé, sin duda es en mi caso una suerte de oficio que me satisface y me gustaría pensar en la posibilidad de vivir de mis letras un 100%. ¿Qué dices tú estimado lector? ¿Me podría considerar un escritor o no? ¿Quizá en parte o cierto grado? Siempre he querido publicar un libro, y que esté perdure en el tiempo. Con ello sería escritor. Sin embargo, la escritura es algo que forma parte de mi vida diaria, escribo cada día un post para Hive, planifico la gran parte de mis contenidos, le dedico parte de mi tiempo y mucho amor.
Así que si, puedo decir que soy escritor, porque el escritor es aquel que comunica sus ideas, que da su opinión o escribe un libre.
Por lo que tu también eres escritor. :)
César me encantó la utilidad de este post, de verdad que Hive es fascinante, trae consigo un monto de herramientas, aportes y novedades increíbles. Me encantó esto.
Pienso que en la cotidianidad una persona tiene distintos roles y posicionamientos, hay momentos que eres escritor y otras veces no, eventualmente tenemos muchas cosas por ser y hacer.
Me encanta partir de la propuesta que dejó Hebe Uhart: “Yo soy escritora solamente cuando escribo".
Así que entre tantos millones de palabras, has sido millones de veces escritor y seguro seguirás siendo en cada momento que elijas.

If you have posted everything multi-lingual (like this post, you could roughly cut that word count in two) - as the word count enumerates all strings - it doesn't split languages. I only know English, so I am uncertain as to the density of meaning in other languages (ie, being able to say more with 1) different 2) lengths 3) of 4) posts)

Claro que puedes considerarte como uno, lo principal es eso, la autopercepción y auto-reconocimiento.
