El domingo pasado estuve compartiendo gran parte de la tarde con algunos amigos y familiares en un Caney ubicado en una área de Cabudare, localidad cercana a la ciudad donde vivo, este Caney, llamado "Altos del Placer", es estupendo porque además de tener una piscina tiene un espacio para compartir bastante cómodo, con sillas y mesas, en un ambiente de suficiente intimidad. El indicado para el propósito de la tarde, que era poder celebrar una actividad realizada por personas de mi parroquia, en su mayoría jóvenes, que exigió bastante compromiso y fue todo un éxito.

De la actividad hablaré en otro espacio, sólo indicar que fue una obra musical presentada en el teatro emblemático de la ciudad, el Juáres, en el contexto de la Semana Santa. Sólo indicaré que fue tanto el éxito que nos están pidiendo que la repitamos. Aquí me quiero referir a la importancia de celebrar nuestros logros, pues, si no lo hacemos nosotros, quién más lo hará?

No todo es trabajo

Estamos en una sociedad sumamente acelerada donde es prácticamente dichoso el que puede tomarse un tiempo de descanso, éste es el lujo de nuestros tiempos. Pues bien, creo que tenemos que aprender a ser personas que nos permitimos esta clase de lujos, ya que no son un simple capricho sino una necesidad, en efecto, si sólo vivimos para trabajar nos terminaremos amargando la vida, porque el ser humano es alguien que necesita sentir satisfacción en múltiples áreas, una de estas es la diversión, la distracción sana, dónde el compartir con uno mismo, con los demás y con la naturaleza nos enriquece muchísimo.

Hacer el esfuerzo por apartar el tiempo necesario para estos espacios es una prioridad, pues como señalaba, el mismo día a día nos lleva a perder de vista la importancia de estos detalles importantes que son también parte del significado de la vida humana, hecha para el disfrute de la creación.

Valorar los talentos

Como indiqué arriba, este día de paseo recreativo fue hecho como una forma de reconocer el esfuerzo de todas las personas que se involucraron en el éxito de la obra musical que realizamos, de tal manera, que todos pudieran sentir el valor que cada uno tiene al poner sus talentos a disposición de una acción grande. En efecto, a pesar de que la mayoría era primera vez que hacía una actuación de ese calibre, se atrevieron y los comentarios giran precisamente alrededor de su gran valor, en el sentido de valentía pero también de importancia, pues, hicieron las cosas con y de corazón.

Es lo que pasa cuando aprendemos a celebrar cualquiera de nuestros logros, ya que es reconocer el valor del esfuerzo que ponemos en las cosas, pues, por muy pequeñas que estás sean se les invierte esfuerzo y tiempo, que es donde radica la importancia de las acciones que realizamos, porque implica organizarnos, priorizar cosas y disponernos a la ejecución de determinadas acciones, que concatenadas unas con otras producen un resultado específico.

Motivación para seguir

Desde la experiencia de este compartir puedo atestiguar otro punto importante que se desprende de darnos la oportunidad de celebrar nuestros logros, y es que nos motivamos para luchar por nuestras metas, en efecto, no es sólo que recargamos nuestras energías sino que nos inspiramos para seguir haciendo eso que nos está dando resultados, pues, junto a sentir eficazmente que lo que hacemos tiene un valor está el hecho ineludible del aporte positivo que estamos dando a los demás, es darle una dirección o sentido a nuestra estancia terrena.

Una anécdota que me sorprendió de este día fue en efecto que en medio del compartir y distraernos se empezó a estructurar una siguiente presentación que nos han pedido, además de la repetición de la obra en el Juáres. Y no fuí yo que lo hice sino que los mismos participantes tuvieron la iniciativa de dar los primeros pasos. Esto me llena de felicidad porque entre las cosas que estamos llamados a ser en esta vida es poder inspirar a que los demás puedan dar lo mejor de su ser, creo que esta celebración también ayudó mucho porque fue una motivación más para seguir creciendo.

Last Sunday, I spent a great part of the afternoon with some friends and family at a Caney located in an area of Cabudare, a town near the city where I live. This Caney, called "Altos del Placer," is wonderful because in addition to having a pool, it also has a very comfortable space for sharing, with chairs and tables, in an atmosphere of sufficient privacy. It was the perfect place for the purpose of the afternoon, which was to celebrate an activity carried out by people from my parish, mostly young people, that required a lot of commitment and was a complete success.

I will talk about the activity in another space, I will only mention that it was a musical work presented in the city's emblematic theater, the Juáres, in the context of Holy Week. I will only say that it was so successful that they are asking us to repeat it. Here I want to refer to the importance of celebrating our achievements, because if we don't do it, who else will?

Not Everything is Work

We are in an extremely fast-paced society where it is practically a blessing to be able to take some time off, this is the luxury of our times. Well, I believe that we have to learn to be people who allow ourselves these kinds of luxuries, since they are not a simple whim but a necessity. In effect, if we only live to work we will end up embittering our lives, because the human being is someone who needs to feel satisfaction in multiple areas, one of these is fun, healthy distraction, where sharing with oneself, with others and with nature enriches us enormously.

Making the effort to set aside the necessary time for these spaces is a priority, because as I pointed out, the day-to-day routine itself leads us to lose sight of the importance of these important details that are also part of the meaning of human life, made for the enjoyment of creation.

Valuing Talents

As I indicated above, this day of recreational outing was done as a way to recognize the effort of all the people who were involved in the success of the musical work we did, so that everyone could feel the value that each one has when putting their talents at the service of a great action. In effect, even though the majority of them were doing a performance of that caliber for the first time, they dared to do it and the comments revolve precisely around their great value, in the sense of bravery but also of importance, because they did things with and from the heart.

This is what happens when we learn to celebrate any of our achievements, since it is to recognize the value of the effort we put into things, because, no matter how small they may be, we invest effort and time in them, which is where the importance of the actions we carry out lies, because it implies organizing ourselves, prioritizing things and preparing ourselves to carry out certain actions, which concatenated one with another produce a specific result.

Motivation to Keep Going

From the experience of this sharing I can attest to another important point that comes from giving ourselves the opportunity to celebrate our achievements, and that is that it motivates us to fight for our goals. In effect, it is not only that we recharge our energies but that we are inspired to continue doing what is giving us results, because, along with effectively feeling that what we do has value, there is the unavoidable fact of the positive contribution we are making to others, is to give a direction or meaning to our earthly stay.

An anecdote that surprised me about this day was that in the midst of sharing and distracting ourselves, the next presentation that they have asked us for began to be structured, in addition to the repetition of the work in the Juáres. And it was not me who did it, but the participants themselves took the initiative to take the first steps. This fills me with happiness because among the things we are called to be in this life is to be able to inspire others to give the best of themselves. I believe that this celebration also helped a lot because it was one more motivation to continue growing.
