I must agree there are some beautiful perks to reading reality-based novels, if not every time, I think reading them occasionally has its perks. I was one hell of a procrastinator in the past, and I guess this was why I couldn't resist the urge to write on this topic immediately, this is because I am more familiar with the word procrastinate than anyone. I have also read some books in the past that talk about the effects of procrastinating and how to deal with it before it gets out of control...

Over the years, I have read and seen in many books catchy quotes on procrastination, of all the books I have seen and read so far on procrastination, there are these two quotes on procrastination that are stuck in my head; one is a quote I picked up somewhere some time ago and the other is a famous quote on procrastination by Edward Young;

Procrastination is like a credit card: it's a lot of fun until you get the bill. - CHRISTOPHER PARKER...
Procrastination is the thief of time. - EDWARD YOUNG...

These two quotes have always been my daily mantra whenever procrastination is about to settle within me. Over the years I have underestimated the power of procrastination and in the cause of doing so, it has eaten me up so badly, it took deep roots within me in the past until I chose to fight it off big time. Guess what friends, today I have in me the power to control everything I do and not procrastinate about what needs to be done in the present for the future...

Moving on to the questions of the day friends, join me in the next couple of paragraphs as I share with you my two cents on the topic of procrastination...

WHO AM I?...

I have since long ago gained control over my ability to procrastinate things, the fact is that it took me a while to gain control over it, but guess what, it was never too late for me, I was forced to put it in check before it reshapes my lifestyle more...

Who am I?, a procrastinator or a 5 am club member?, would it be understandable and safe to say I am both a procrastinator and also a 5 am club member. This is the best answer I could give since everything I do with myself and in my time is mostly dependent on my mood and motivation...

I have lost a lot of opportunities in the past because of my habit of procrastinating things, it started as laziness to do the things that needed to be done immediately for later, and at the end of the day, I ended up doing it wrongly or not at all when I could have done it when it was of its utmost value. This happened many times in the past and I was forced to rethink my life if this attitude kept going on...

Procrastination was hell-bent on destroying my identity and my life's goal until I fought it, conquered it, and won...

Ever since I came to understand the effect of procrastination and how it works, I started using it to my advantage, which means I know when to and when not to procrastinate things, I do what needs to be done at the appropriate time and do what can be done later in the future, I don't risk it anymore, I just jump on it and get it over with and move on to the next item on my list...

This newest habit of mine has been going on for years now and I think I love it this way, I won't deny the fact that sometimes this procrastination gets the best of me, but I have my way of putting it under control, it just requires more work when I don't do it at the appropriate time, I plan to go with the flow of how things are now...

The effect of procrastination on my day-to-day life goes a long way, procrastination comes as fun in disguise but at the end of the messes up with my entire schedule, which most time doesn't end well for me on deadline-related matters...

It encourages my laziness and makes me look unserious to those around me, procrastination paints me in a very odd color, which is why I learned how to keep it in check and control it...

In summary, getting up very early is my thing, and it pays off big time. As a writer I realized procrastination is dangerous, it never ends well when a writer procrastinates his work, I do my thing in the early or earliest hours of the day and so far it's been great and awesome...

In conclusion, procrastination is the enemy of success, I believe that is for those who allow themself to be controlled by it, as for me, it is within my control and it's never going to stop me from achieving success...

So that is that on procrastination, planning, and 5 am club, this is my entry to the INLEO May daily prompt; day 19. This is an interesting initiative, you should take part in it, it's on friends...

       THANKS FOR READING...

Procrastination is within our control and for us to decide, some people believe it’s a mental problem but it is scientifically proven that procrastination is caused by laziness, and like you have said sir ( Procrastination is an enemy of success) which means we have to overcome it no matter what.
