Colombo, pintor y luthier es de Barquisimeto estado Lara Venezuela, nacido en un pueblito árido y de chivos llamado Baragua del municipio Urdaneta decidió en los años 70 adoptar un estilo de vida muy particular, no salir más a la calle y quedarse creando en su casa taller, nos dice que algunos médicos que lo han visitado le comentan que su condición es llamada agorafobia, lo cual lo acepta, pero esto no es barrera para ser conocido, recorrer salones y universidades además de estar al tanto de lo que sucede en el mundo, cada obra que transite por los lugares representa su esencia como ser de esta dimensión, esta decisión no fue tajante solo se fue prolongando paso a paso, de día a meses de meses a años hasta lograr no salir casi nunca, tal vez salir por cuestiones ajenas a su voluntad, según mi visión decidió asumir un monacato para el arte, el pensamiento y la creación.

He comes from a family of luthiers that begins with the influence of the Aldana family, his grandmother was an instrument builder, which inherited the trade to his mother and his mother to her husband and these to Macario. It was a family of women luthiers and they in turn taught their husbands to make instruments, the resources used were the woods found in their environment, as we speak of a peasant and traditional builders, by this office Macario and his family lived almost all his life until arriving in the city of Barquisimeto, they were improving their technique to be the builders of the instruments that were sold in the mixed room.

Cabe destacar que detrás de una decisión hay un estudio una creencia, un foco a donde queremos llegar, su objetivo fue pintar y recrear su infancia sus sueños además de su sincretismo espiritual, es una fiel lector, de distintos libros, historia, religión,arte, psicología, ocultismo, entre otros, lo cuales lo han mantenido lucido durante el recorrido por la vida.
Viene de una familia de luthieres que comienza por la influencia de los Aldana, su abuela fue constructora de instrumentos, lo cual le heredó el oficio a su Madre y su madre a su esposo y estos a Macario. Era una familia de mujeres luthieres y ellas a su vez enseñaban a sus esposos a fabricar instrumentos, los recursos utilizados era las maderas encontradas en su entorno, ya que hablamos de unos constructores campesinos y tradicionales, por este oficio Macario y su familia vivieron casi toda su vida hasta llegar a la ciudad de Barquisimeto, fueron mejorando su técnica hasta ser los constructores de los instrumentos que se vendían en el salón mixto.

Actualmente, pinta bajo una conceptualización hermenéutica y no coloca firma ni nombre a sus piezas, ya que considera que esto limita la interpretación de sus obras decir algo de una pieza hoy no será lo mismo cuando la veamos mañana, muchas son alegorías y algunas para estudios profundos de la psique, como otras que rememoran su infancia y su famoso molino de agua, por ahora solo pinta pequeños formatos y su paleta de colores son una mezcla de fríos y cálidos es un pintor simbólico que drena a través del óleo lo más puro de su ser, una cualidad de todo artista. Por ello la locura es casi imposible, porque con este medio nos vemos, nos conocemos y reconocemos que somos el otro medio.

Esta visita fue muy grata, la realicé junto a mi esposa, fueron varias horas de buena conversa, sobre múltiples aspectos del arte, el hombre, la particularidad y belleza del ser femenino, luthería, madera y la escultura, conocimos a uno de varios artistas Larense, quien tiene mucho que enseñar y nos enseñó por cierto que más allá de hacer una obra, el beneficio mayor está en la producción desinteresada de la misma, ya que es un acto espiritual, aunque todo esto último es subjetivo.
Para los que caminamos en este mundo de lo creativo, es importante conocer la forma de como se vinculan otros con las bellas artes, esto porque muchas veces manejan temas similares y la experiencia acumulada puede ayudar a avanzar de un bloqueo a un artista emergente, aunque no se busca el ser copista si se busca la buena influencia tomar de los artistas lo mejor de sí como motivo e inspiración para seguir avanzando en esta disciplina porque muchas veces no se sabe para donde vamos.
