So Hivers it’s been a little while but what to do on my birthday? I think a quick drive down to Burgh Island and throw the drone up is a good plan.
The tide was out so no issues getting across to the island and after a walk up the hill finding a good place to lift off with drone is no problem.
The 30s Art Deco hotel is up for sale so if you have around 15 mill it’s all yours bit of a snip.
Mind you I was more interested in the pub the Pilchard Inn which is a great place to stop for a pint before walking back to the carpark.
The Hotel has quite an interesting history so I will have to do a ‘have you been here’post at some stage.
At high tide the island is cut off by the rising water so you need to get a ride across in the sea tractor if you want to get back to the main land or you could stay in the pub and just wait it out
