Capturing the Radiant Sunset in Calatagan Batangas, Philippines | Drone Discovery 004

This is my first time operating my drone in a beachfront area, and I had mixed emotions at the time I was operating it. Im afraid, excited, and mesmerized by the footage I captured above in this place.

This happened on March 31, 2025, when I explored the S.M.P. -M.P.A Beach Campsite in the Town of Calatagan, Batangas, Philippines. It was the unforgettable exploration I did last year using my motorcycle. It was spontaneuos and unplanned destination.

One of the reasons I've visited Calatagan is to try my new DJI Flip drone that I bought in January 2025. I wanted to try its resistance against the wind in the beach places like Calatagan. It's almost three months at that time when I bought it, and I think it will be my 5th time operating it. Literally, I'm a newbie in the field of the drone ecosystem.

I just flew my drone in minimal height, I'm afraid, and that time, it's getting dark, and I feel the wind is a bit strong since I'm in beach front area. You can observe it in this video, so don't expect complicated shots and maneuvers on this footage.

Why Calatagan Beach Front Area?

This town is one of the famous summer destinations in the Philippines, especially the town of Calatagan. It offers a lot of beautiful scenery, White sand beaches, and turquoise, clear water that you will love to dive in. The sunset in this town is also enchanting. This is also the reason why I chose to visit this Campsite. I saw on their page the beautiful sunset of this place. This is actually the highlight of the video. So watch it until the end.

I waited for dusk to capture this golden time in Calatagan, Batangas. And it is worth it. Look at how radiant the colors made by the sunset in this place. It is enticing and relaxing to watch. Im all smiles and amazed by the view of sunset I captured above using my DJI Flip Drone. At this moment, a lot of life realization comes in, and I'm hoping that at the end of this journey of mine, it will be beautiful and radiant like this sunset in Calatagan, Batangas.

I'm really glad I bought this drone; it makes me more excited to unveil more aerial scenic views like this in my future travel adventures.

That's it for this blog and discovery. Hoping you like this video. If you have some drone tips and recommendations, just put them in the comment section; it will be appreciated.
