Hello everyone @throwbackthursday community, I'm @fab-tay and i welcome us all to yet another throwback thursday once again 🕺and it's always a delight to relieve the memories of great moments of the past. Also, i want to commend the administrator of this group @jesuslnrs and other team members for all their efforts week in, week out. This week, my throwback will be on my longest traveling experience in the last few years.
Hola a todos, comunidad de @throwbackthursday, soy @fab-tay y les doy la bienvenida a todos a otro jueves de retroceso una vez más 🕺 y siempre es un placer aliviar los recuerdos de grandes momentos del pasado. Además, quiero felicitar al administrador de este grupo @jesuslnrs y a otros miembros del equipo por todos sus esfuerzos semana tras semana. Esta semana recordaré mi experiencia de viaje más larga de los últimos años.
Traveling is one of my favorites aside music and sporting. I do travel even right from entering the University till i graduated and most of the traveling i made was by road. The longest travel i made was post covid in year 2020 after the lockdown ban has been lifted by my country (Nigeria) and i was to undergo a mandatory one year national service. I been from the west was posted to the far north because the program was about national integration and unity.
Viajar es uno de mis favoritos además de la música y los deportes. Viajo incluso desde que entré a la Universidad hasta que me gradué y la mayor parte de los viajes que hice fueron por carretera. El viaje más largo que hice fue post-covid en el año 2020, después de que mi país (Nigeria) levantara la prohibición de bloqueo y tuviera que someterme a un servicio nacional obligatorio de un año. Yo soy del oeste y fui enviado al extremo norte porque el programa trataba sobre la integración y la unidad nacional.
We took off early like around 10am and the journey was for about 18 hours before we arrived to the state i was posted to. I traveled by bus with some of my colleagues which we graduated together. The national service was a great one whereby i learnt great things about the northerners which some of the things learnt are helpful now back in the west. Traveling is truly an adventure and a form of education.
Salimos temprano, alrededor de las 10 a.m. y el viaje duró aproximadamente 18 horas antes de llegar al estado en el que me enviaron. Viajé en autobús con algunos de mis compañeros que nos graduamos juntos. El servicio nacional fue excelente, en el que aprendí grandes cosas sobre los norteños y algunas de las cosas que aprendí son útiles ahora en el oeste. Viajar es verdaderamente una aventura y una forma de educación.

18 hours? that sounds like quite the journey! Did you manage to get some rest along the way and maybe find something to eat?
Yes, that's the journey period.
We had just two stop byes to buy food and to ease oneself. The journey includes the night time as we traveled through the night.

You have talked a lot about that season of your life in the community and it is wonderful how everything happened for you to fall in love with your profession and serving your neighbor. How nice that traveling is one of your passions, and I sincerely wish you many more opportunities to come.
