Hello everyone, Hope you are doing very well today and that your day is going very well too. It's Friday, and it is a beautiful one at that, so I will bring you a memory from my convocation day.
It was a day I longed to see, because I knew that I would get a lot of gifts, and I knew that people would come around and make me feel special, so I was so happy that the day was going to come. Dad and I started preparing for this day a week before it. He made it look Ike I was going to get married on that day. He told me that he wanted to make it very big so that it will look so special.
We started inviting people for the reception, and everyone I invited never believed that I was going to be convoked. They were very surprised, saying that I don't like it at all. I remember that one of my dad's friends mistook my junior for me; I know that I have a very small stature,, and that is why people get very surprised whenever I reach a peculiar milestone.
When D-Day came, everyone woke up with mixed feelings; we were happy and sad at the same time because we were not complete; Mum was not there, and it left us sad and happy. I didn't want to really feel sad about Mum not being present, so I left the house at sea hair, and also cooked for me. They also arranged the house so as to receive my guests. When I came back from school, I was amazed at the people that trooped into my compound; they came with gifts, and they also made me feel special too. I remember that one of my aunts gave me a pair of shoes; I was so happy and did not want the day to end.
That day taught me that the only gift I should ask for in life is the gift of people, and I mean the gift of positive people.
