It was 8th March 2025. A dawn of Saturday, while we were heading towards Faisal Masjid. It was month of Ramadan, a holy month in Islamic Calender. A time that is very special to Muslims. It's month of fasting.
Today, while scrolling my gallery, I stopped my fingers when my glance fell on these photos. These pictures took me back on the same day, when i was tired and walked almost three kilometers after getting off from metro bus. Initially, i thought that distance would be very small but it wasn't small. We (@moaz-sabir and I) had to cover so much distance to reach over there.
We both were on fast that day. Feeling of home swirled across heart and mind. Deep down, I was missing home. If you ask, what specifically, I was missing? Answer would be ; Gatherings with all family members including uncles, aunts, grandparents, siblings and the most loving parents. Above all, I missed my mother and her food. It takes everyone's to heaven when we take one bite of mother's made food item.
I missed that overall environment that i used to share in Holy month Ramadan. In between happy discussions, we discussed some down moments of life. Questions about successful life....lingered in my mind.
We bought food items for iftar from nearby market. It was quite expensive, i missed my father too. How everything has to be managed by us. Everything in this city is quite a struggle. There were so many people around. It wouldn't be wrong to mention that ; it was seemingly a flood of people who were sitting in Masjid. By seeing them, I thanked Almighty Allah for everything because i saw that not even everyone can afford those things that are granted to us by Almighty Allah. One should always be thankful to Almighty Allah for everything we are rewarded with.
Then after having iftari( dinner time in Ramadan that followed by Dawn of Evening), we went inside the main area of Masjid to offer pray.
Lights were turned on and every side was looking beautiful. I met someone of my acquaintance over there but Frankly i remain hesitant to meet some of my acquaintance, often.
We came out of the Masjid and there was a woman who was stamping hands with Henna ( it's what we call Thappe). In easy words, we can say that these are removable tattoos. We got one, 😉.
Holding some many ideas, we headed back home. Now, obviously, I am waiting for next coming Ramadan so that we again can go over there.
See you another time with another flashback memory !
