Saludos hivers.
Este martes le traemos otra entrega de esta interesante iniciativa, la cual nos ha permitido develar y conocer las experiencias que hay detrás de cada hiver, el episodio de hoy está dedicado a @jlinaresp, un hiver que nos ha cautivado con su lente fotográfico. La pasión por su trabajo se nota en los escritos que ha compartido en su blog.
@jlinaresp se ha convertido en un referente en las comunidades dedicadas a la fotografía y de contenido similar, de allí que sea moderador de Visualshots y Discovery-it, allí elige posts valiosos para resaltar el talento de otros hivers en este campo. Además, es un usuario comprometido y con excelente sentido del humor.
Fue un placer entrevistarlo y ceder este escenario para que se expresara con libertad plena.

1. Cuéntanos un poco de ti. ¿Quién eres fuera de la pantalla de Hive? (Profesión, hobbies, de dónde eres, etc.)
"Comencé a nacer" en la madrugada del 4 de Agosto de 1971 en Montalbán (Carabobo, Venezuela) y terminé naciendo en la tarde de ese mismo día en la ciudad Valencia de Valencia porque el parto se complicó, pues venía "de cabeza" con menos de 7 meses de gestación me estaba "estrangulando" con el cordón umbilical. En mi pueblo, por aquel entonces, no se hacían cesáreas ni habían ambulancias, así que a Mamá la subieron en un auto de mi padrino y la trasladaron a Valencia en donde "terminé de nacer" y me tuvieron un par de semanas entre incubadoras y extremaunciones porque pensaron que me moría, pero de hecho, aquí sigo...
Ya cumplidos los 19, me había graduado en Informática, comenzado a trabajar en la industria privada, me casé y nació mi primer hijo (sí, a los 19, en serio)… A los 37 sufrí una crisis de stress por exceso de trabajo y un psicólogo me recomendó tener algún tipo de hobbie, así comenzó mi historia de amor por la fotografía, como "una terapia", a los 43 me harté de mi profesión, de manejar a diario, de los proyectos, de las reuniones de trabajo y me alejé de todo lo que había sido mi vida profesional durante 24 años.
Ahora vendo productos lácteos artesanales que se producen en las fincas de mis hermanas, gasto muy poco, hago fotos casi a diario, escribo algunas cosas casi a diario, leo mucho, tengo 7 gatos y 4 perros (sin contar mis manadas callejeras por cuyos miembros intento hacer lo mejor que puedo), mis hijos (2) están emancipados, y mi esposa (mi compañera desde hace ya más de 35 años) ha dejado de evaluar la posibilidad de internarme en algún lugar adecuado y ha llegado a la "sana conclusión" de que soy lo "más divertido que pudo pasarle" y merezco seguir suelto y deambulando… Otros detalles: "Lacto-vegetariano" desde los 25, abstemio desde los 40, cuando también dejé el cigarrillo en 24 horas a pesar de haber fumado como un obseso desde los 16 y más de una cajetilla al día, hago yoga, nuestro párroco llegó a la conclusión de que puedo ser "un poco hereje" después de que nos hicimos amigos y accedí a que me confesara (en 2015, según recuerdo) pero aún me saluda en la calle y no me ha bloqueado en Whatsapp ni Telegram… Y bueno, actualmente estoy un poco apretado de tiempo, pero hago hasta lo imposible por tener mínimo 2 o 3 horas al día para escribir y compartir mis fotos en mi blog de Hive
2. ¿Cómo llegaste a Hive y cuál fue tu primera impresión?
A finales del 2021, recuerdo haber colocado en Google "¿Dónde puedo compartir mis fotos en Web3?" y aparecieron varias opciones, pero de #Hive me gustó de inmediato el ecosistema diverso de aplicaciones y, awww, ¡Ese lindo logo que tiene!
3. ¿Cuál es la diferencia más grande que ves entre las redes sociales convencionales (como Facebook, Instagram, tik tok, etc) y las redes sociales que hay dentro de Hive?
¡Es del cielo a la tierra la diferencia!... Hive es intimo, uno siente que está creando en un espacio propio, orientado a hacer esto de una manera ética y alejado del barbarismo de los algoritmos de las redes Web2 que parecen querer "secuestrar tu creacionismo y además hacerte ver lo que un algoritmo quiere que tú veas" (pido excusas por la espartana respuesta, pero es así como me parece)… Hive, uses el front-end que uses, es algo creado para hacerte sentir "un humano creando y expresándose de manera natural"...
4. Si tuvieras que definir Hive en una sola frase, ¿cuál sería?
"My espacio web3"
5. ¿En qué comunidades sueles publicar o interactuar con mayor frecuencia y por qué?
Lo mío es hacer fotos y acompañarlas con lo que pienso el día que comparto mi trabajo. Así que el mayor porcentaje de mi contenido está publicado en las comunidades Black and White (amo la fotografía en blanco y negro, tengo una especie de "interruptor mental" el cual me permite ver las cosas en blanco y negro a través del visor de mi cámara, y además, mis fotos procesadas para color las publico en Visualshots (en donde formo parte del staff por cierto) y en Photography Lovers... Pero Hive es algo que te hace crecer como persona y como creador, así que he hecho incursiones en temas diversos que van desde el arte digital hasta algo que llamo "mis entretelones fotográficos" y "excursiones visuales" los cuales suelo compartir en Discovery-it, esa encantadora comunidad de cuyo staff formo parte también y he aprendido tanto en #Hive... También de manera esporádica, suelo compartir mis experiencias en Worldmappin y Dayly Blog
6. ¿Cuál ha sido tu mayor logro o la experiencia más gratificante que has tenido en Hive hasta ahora?
Llegar a este punto de: "Sentir el deseo y la pasión por crear a diario"... A mí me parece que "crear" es algo fundamental para la evolución del ser, entonces encontrar un lugar en donde hacer esto sea tan natural y agradable, es una "experiencia muy agradable
7 ¿Qué fue lo más difícil de aprender en tus inicios?
No quiero sonar petulante, pero apenas entré a Hive, ya al rato me encontraba diciéndome a mi mismo: ¿Y como es que esto tan perfecto para crear contenido estaba aquí y yo no lo sabía?, así que para mi fue un proceso rápido, fácil y natural... Y yo comencé con el front-end más normal, el de Hive-blog, pero cuando entré a Hive a través de Peakd (unas pocas semanas después de mi primer contacto), casi que no me pude despegar de mi escritorio por lo fascinado que estaba al ver su interfaz... ¡Fue como estar en algo que yo hubiera diseñado!... Así que no he encontrado nada difícil en #Hive que yo recuerde... Pero claro, hay que tomar en cuenta que yo estuve 1/4 de siglo pegado a monitores programando, creando diagramas de flujo, administrando sistemas operativos y pare usted de contar, así que quizás eso tiene que algo que ver con mi percepción del ecosistema #Hive y de mi gusto por todo lo que allí hay.
8. ¿Cómo describirías tu visión a futuro dentro del ecosistema de Hive?
Soy básicamente un creador y no soy precisamente un tipo joven, así que seguramente seguiré haciendo lo que vengo haciendo hasta ahora, que es crear contenido y usar Hive como repositorio, como una especie de "bóveda accesible" en donde permanezca lo que hago como legado. Quizás, cuando pueda organizar mis días de manera más eficiente, me incorporaré a otro proyecto más en #Hive, algo que me permita seguir impulsando la permanencia de nuevos creadores dentro de #Hive, en especial si son fotógrafos.
9. ¿Qué consejo le darías a un hiver que apenas está comenzando?
¡Ni se te ocurra desistir, no encontrarás nada parecido en toda la web3!
10. Si quieres explicarle Hive a un familiar o amigo, para que se una a la plataforma, ¿qué le dirías para convencerlo?
¿Te gusta crear y compartir lo que sabes hacer?, ¿Te gusta ser el dueño del contenido que creas?, entonces entra en Hive, reclama tu propio espacio y sé valorado por aquello que te gusta hacer.
11. Para finalizar, ¿Has tenido alguna experiencia directa con Hispapro? Si es así, ¿qué tal ha sido?
Si claro, que fue en 2023 cuando Hispapro se hizo testigo y vi que era de Venezuela, esto me llamó de emoción y de inmediato contó con mi voto. Desde entonces los veo mejorar y siempre están activos y evolucionando. Además, en su equipo conocí hivers muy "top" como @palomap3 cuyo trabajo admiro, sigo y del cual aprendo mucho. También, si mal no recuerdo, allí tuve primeros contactos con mi tocayo @jesuspsoto cuyo contenido también aprecio un montón, aunque últimamente está menos activo... Más recientemente, el amigo @josemalavem apreció uno de mis trabajos y me escribió uno de sus "muy motivacionales" comentarios y vi que ahora está en el proyecto Hispapro también, lo cual me pareció excelente en verdad... Y recién ayer, tuve el honor de ser contactado por la hiver @ramisey de ese mismo proyecto, gracias a quien ahora estoy aquí compartiendo toda esta experiencia con ustedes, algo así como "echando el cuento"... ¡Definitivamente Hispapro tiene un gran equipo y hace un gran trabajo en #Hive!

Today's episode is dedicated to @jlinaresp, a hiver who has captivated us with his photographic lens. His passion for his work is evident in the writings he has shared on his blog.
@jlinaresp has become a reference point in communities dedicated to photography and similar content, which is why he is a moderator for Visualshots and Discovery-it, where he chooses valuable posts to highlight the talent of other hivers in this field. He is also a committed user with an excellent sense of humor.
It was a pleasure to interview you and give you this platform to express yourself freely.

1. Tell us a little about yourself. Who are you outside of Hive? (Profession, hobbies, where you're from, etc.)
I "began to be born" in the early hours of August 4, 1971, in Montalbán (Carabobo, Venezuela), and I ended up being born in the afternoon of that same day in the city of Valencia because the delivery was complicated. I was coming out "head first" at less than 7 months gestation and was being "strangled" by the umbilical cord. In my town, at that time, they didn't perform C-sections and there were no ambulances, so they put my mother in my godfather's car and took her to Valencia, where I "finished being born." They kept me for a couple of weeks between incubators and last rites because they thought I was going to die, but in fact, here I am...
By the time I was 19, I had graduated with a degree in Computer Science, started working in the private sector, got married, and had my first child (yes, at 19, seriously)... At 37, I suffered a stress crisis due to overwork, and a psychologist recommended that I take up some kind of hobby. That's how my love affair with photography began, as "therapy." At 43, I got fed up with my profession, with driving every day, with projects, with work meetings, and I walked away from everything that had been my professional life for 24 years.
Now I sell artisanal dairy products produced on my sisters' farms, I spend very little, I take photos almost every day, I write a little almost every day, I read a lot, I have seven cats and four dogs (not counting my stray packs, whose members I try to do my best for), my two children are grown up, and my wife (my partner for over 35 years) has stopped considering the possibility of having me committed to a suitable institution and has come to the "sound conclusion" that I am the "most fun thing that could have happened to her" and deserve to remain free and wandering... Other details: "Lacto-vegetarian" since age 25, teetotaler since age 40, when I also quit smoking in 24 hours despite having smoked like a maniac since age 16 and more than a pack a day, I do yoga, our parish priest came to the conclusion that I might be "a bit of a heretic" after we became friends and I agreed to go to confession (in 2015, as I recall), but he still greets me on the street and hasn't blocked me on WhatsApp or Telegram... And well, I'm a little pressed for time at the moment, but I do my best to have at least 2 or 3 hours a day to write and share my photos on my Hive blog.
2. How did you find Hive, and what was your first impression?
At the end of 2021, I remember typing "Where can I share my photos on Web3?" into Google, and several options came up, but I immediately liked #Hive's diverse ecosystem of applications and, awww, that cute logo!
3. What is the biggest difference you see between conventional social networks (such as Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, etc.) and the social networks within Hive?
The difference is like night and day!... Hive is intimate; you feel like you're creating in your own space, oriented towards doing this in an ethical way and far from the barbarism of Web2 network algorithms that seem to want to "hijack your creativity and also make you see what an algorithm wants you to see" (I apologize for the blunt response, but that's how I feel)... Hive, whatever front-end you use, is something created to make you feel like "a human being creating and expressing yourself naturally."
4. If you had to define Hive in one sentence, what would it be?
"My web3 space"
5. Which communities do you post or interact with most often, and why?
My thing is taking photos and accompanying them with my thoughts on the day I share my work. So most of my content is posted in the Black and White communities (I love black and white photography, I have a kind of "mental switch" that allows me to see things in black and white through my camera's viewfinder, and I also post my color-processed photos on Visualshots (where I'm part of the staff, by the way) and Photography Lovers... But Hive is something that makes you grow as a person and as a creator, so I've ventured into various topics ranging from digital art to something I call "my photographic interludes" and "visual excursions," which I usually share on Discovery-it, that lovely community whose staff I'm also part of, and I've learned so much on #Hive... I also sporadically share my experiences on Worldmappin and Dayly Blog.
6. What has been your greatest achievement or most rewarding experience at Hive so far?
Reaching this point of "feeling the desire and passion to create every day"... I believe that "creating" is fundamental to human evolution, so finding a place where doing this is so natural and enjoyable is a "very pleasant experience."
7 What was the most difficult thing to learn when you started?
I don't want to sound smug, but as soon as I joined Hive, I found myself saying to myself: How come this perfect place to create content was here and I didn't know about it? So for me it was a quick, easy, and natural process... I started with the most normal front-end, Hive-blog, but when I joined Hive through Peakd (a few weeks after my first contact), I could hardly tear myself away from my desk because I was so fascinated by its interface... It was like being in something I had designed myself!... So I haven't found anything difficult in #Hive that I can remember... But of course, you have to take into account that I spent a quarter of a century glued to monitors programming, creating flowcharts, managing operating systems, and so on, so maybe that has something to do with my perception of the #Hive ecosystem and my taste for everything there.
8. How would you describe your vision for the future within the Hive ecosystem?
I am basically a creator, and I am not exactly a young guy, so I will probably continue doing what I have been doing so far, which is creating content and using Hive as a repository, as a kind of "accessible vault" where my work remains as a legacy. Perhaps, when I can organize my days more efficiently, I'll join another project in #Hive, something that allows me to continue promoting the permanence of new creators within #Hive, especially if they are photographers.
9. What advice would you give to a Hiver who is just starting out?
Don't even think about giving up, you won't find anything like it on the entire web3!
10. If you wanted to explain Hive to a family member or friend to get them to join the platform, what would you say to convince them?
Do you like creating and sharing what you know how to do? Do you like owning the content you create? Then join Hive, claim your own space, and be valued for what you love to do.
11. Finally, have you had any direct experience with Hispapro? If so, how was it?
Yes, of course. It was in 2023 when Hispapro became a witness, and I saw that it was from Venezuela. This excited me, and I immediately voted for it. Since then, I have seen them improve, and they are always active and evolving. In addition, I met some very "top" Hivers on their team, such as @palomap3, whose work I admire, follow, and learn a lot from. Also, if I remember correctly, that's where I first came into contact with my namesake @jesuspsoto, whose content I also appreciate a lot, although he's been less active lately... More recently, my friend @josemalavem appreciated one of my works and wrote me one of his "very motivational" comments, and I saw that he's now also in the Hispapro project, which I thought was really excellent... And just yesterday, I had the honor of being contacted by @ramisey from that same project, thanks to whom I am now here sharing this whole experience with you, kind of like "telling the story"... Hispapro definitely has a great team and does a great job on #Hive!

Yo comparto gran parte de su opinión, en Hive podemos crear de forma más humana e íntima y fuera de la Barbarie de los algoritmos de la web 2.

Saludos @jlinaresp. No sólo es un placer leerte a diario sono que también he disfrutado mucho de esta entrevista. Coincido con algunas cuestiones que planteas. Una es el uso de Hive como repositorio, como legado (y además sin censura) y lo distinto que es de la web2. No me hace mucha gracia el tema de los algoritmos.
Me gusta tu relación con los animales, se nota muchísimo en tus fotografías.
En fin he disfrutado mucho de esta entrevista.
No me puedo olvidar de @yonnathang y del equipo de @hipapro que es el responsable de esta muy buena iniciativa y a @ramisey por las magníficas entrevistas que está haciendo.
