Ayer les compartí una ilustración de Eren disfrutando un paseo en un día de otoño. Hoy les comparto una de Levi Ackerman disfrutando de su té mientras observa las hojas caer.
Hoy el día ha estado un poco asoleado acá, aunque ya en la tarde comenzó a nublarse nuevamente. Eso me hizo recordar algo que me contaba mi abuela cuando era niña.
El día 4 de octubre se celebra el día de San Francisco de Asís, patrono de los animales. San Francisco era un fraile que usaba una especie de cordón o cinta para atar a la altura de su cintura sus vestiduras.
Alrededor de estas fechas, solemos tener la lluvia más intensa y con más descargas eléctricas del año, a la cual la tradición suele llamar “Los Cordonazos de San Francisco”.
Mi abuela solía decir que cada año, llovía el día del cumpleaños de San Francisco, es decir, el 04 de octubre y que lo celebraba con mucha emoción, por eso había tantos truenos y relámpagos. A veces se anticipa a la fecha y otras veces se atrasa. Sin embargo, mi abuela decía que era mejor que ocurriera antes o durante su cumpleaños, porque si no se despertaba molesto ya que nadie le avisó de su cumpleaños y la lluvia era peor y “los cordonazos” como se le hacía referencia a los relámpagos eran de mayor intensidad.
Hoy viendo la tarde así, recordé sus palabras. Creo que este año la tormenta se adelantó porque hace unos pocos días tuvimos una lluvia muy intensa que comenzó desde la madrugada y duró hasta un poco antes de la mitad de la mañana con muchos truenos y relámpagos. Me despertó el sonido en la madrugada y luego, mis gatitos que duermen conmigo, buscaron refugio debajo de las cobijas acurrucados a mi lado porque parecía que el cielo se iba a caer.
Creo que Levi habría disfrutado mucho tomarse una tacita de té bien calientito mientras ve la lluvia caer, aunque también la habría disfrutado en una tarde de otoño.
Hice la ilustración con lápiz para el lineart y el coloreado. El fondo fue trabajado con tizas y pasteles. Llevó más capas crear el escenario, a él sí lo coloreé en una capa con una adicional para las texturas del sweater.

Yesterday I shared with you an illustration of Eren enjoying a walk on an autumn day. Today I share with you one of Levi Ackerman enjoying his tea while watching the leaves fall.
Today has been a bit sunny here, although it started to cloud up again in the afternoon. That reminded me of something my grandmother used to tell me when I was a child.
October 4th is the feast day of St. Francis of Assisi, patron saint of animals. St. Francis was a friar who used a kind of cord or ribbon to tie his vestments around his waist.
Around this time, we usually have the most intense rain and electrical discharges of the year, which tradition calls "Los Cordonazos de San Francisco".
My grandmother used to say that every year, it rained the day of San Francis' birthday, that is, October 4th and that he celebrated it with great emotion, that is why there was so much thunder and lightning. Sometimes it was early and sometimes it was late. However, my grandmother used to say that it was better that it happened before or during his birthday, otherwise he would wake up upset because no one told him about his birthday and the rain was worse and "los cordonazos" as the lightning was referred to was of greater intensity.
Today seeing the afternoon like this, I remembered her words. I think this year the storm came early because a few days ago we had a very heavy rain that started early in the morning and lasted until a little before mid-morning with lots of thunder and lightning. I was awakened by the sound in the wee hours of the morning and then, my kitties who sleep with me, sought shelter under the covers snuggled up next to me because it looked like the sky was going to fall.
I think Levi would have really enjoyed sipping a nice warm cup of tea while watching the rain fall, although he would also have enjoyed it on an autumn afternoon.
I did the illustration with pencil for the lineart and coloring. The background was worked with chalk and pastels. It took more layers to create the scenery, I did color him in one layer with an additional layer for the sweater textures.
