RE: The Post Curation Tool (PCT) - A great tool for manual curation! (part 7)

in Synergy Builders21 days ago

Hi there, I just came looking for the latest iteration of the post curation tool because I wondered if it could be used as an embedded search tool in a blog.

What I'm thinking for some new outward facing blogs is to set up a tagging architecture in advance of writing any post, so every post can have consistent tagging. Because pct has several variables like, critically, the author's name, it would be great way of searching tags within a blog.

It seems that you are already using the pct for a similar purpose with the fpc tag :)

I tried the link to the tool and got a 404 returned, I found another link in the website menu but the tool didn't launch ... or launched and crashed. Mayday, @ecoinstant, @thecrazygm :)

Check out the whole tool kit at tools.crypto-dreamr.com!

Deciding on tag structure is very smart! Use tags - they are filtering built into the blockchain!

Yes,I thought so 😍

But, as I just said to @thecrazygm, I guess there is still a time limit on how far back it will search?

Depending on what you tried, but the tool has recently been moved to tools.crypto-dreamr.com and had a bug that I just fixed recently. If it doesn't work, please let me know and I'll look into it asap.

Thank you, I found it through the link you gave. Is there a limit on how far back the tool will look? Is it still only seven days.

I also tried to send you a tip through tipjar, but I'm thwarted by not being able to work out how to get the hive keychain extension on my ipad's safari browser 😂

Don't worry about the tip. I can make it go back further if you have a need for it, but curation is over after a week. If you are just wanting to search for old posts, use https://tools.crypto-dreamr.com/backlinks as that's the faster way to find old posts.

No, I'm thinking of a new use as a search tool within a blog.
As I explained in my original comment, I'm setting up some outward facing blogs to reach new audiences.

For example, one of them is @over60health. I want to set up a tag architecture so that anyone interested in finding all the posts about eg #hearthealthyeating can use the pct tool to search that term within the blog/account name.

It's not about voting necessarily, although having the option to tip on every page would be also be sensible.

ah okay - found the post search one!
What is the benefit of copy markdown?

it's to copy the link in markdown format e.g. [awsome post](/@thecrazygm/awesomepost) so you can past it into hive / peakd/ ecency etc.

ah, okay, makes perfect sense 🙂
