It's 1 A.M here,I was strolling through tiktok now and I came across a video, the content in that video is not even what pained me most but the comments of people on that post, like... Well, I know there are people that don't know their purpose,they can't decide for themselves but now I realize many of the youth is guilty of this, like the comments section says it all. It's so surprising knowing that in this century ,many youth still don't know what they want,they can't make a choice based on what they need and wants ,they only follow crowds, they follow trends . They don't know their purpose in life yet, I shook my head in disbelief.
One of the thing I myself loved about me is, I'm never moved by others , I'm contented , I know my stand ,I don't roll with people that doesn't have same mindset with mine. The fact that you can never intimidated me with any possession, I rock my bend down select with pride, I buys boutique clothes only once in a while and I wore them only when going to a long journey, or a party. I remember when I was in catering school, my course mates that get wears only in boutiques for 20k and above,still envy my clothes that I bought 2,500,3,000 naira. When they ask me where I buy ,I told them it's bend down select and they didn't believe me, they think I have more money than them but that time I myself know I don't have half of what they had ,I have never missed any practical, I provide my money each time where sometimes many of them won't be able to partake bcos they couldn't meet up with the money ,so they thought I'm rich not knowing that I just know how to manage my finance. They will buy alot of junks everyday ,saying it's their pocket money,not saving for when their parents couldn't meet up with practical fees,Why will I buy shawarma bcos my friend also buys when I know we don't come from the same background.
"Don't act like them, when you are not like them" why can't you create your own way of life instead of using someone else's way.This also point to young adults I see hustling in school, their parents are not capable but they insist on going to school,in this country that there is no job vacancy, rich children already have job waiting for them after school, but you do that don't have anyone ,has no connection, knows your parents aren't capable ,cry of school instead of getting a skill first, then fund yourself with money earned from that skill. Instead of going extra mile, risking your life so you can graduate from that school at at the end, you are still roaming about with no job.
Our Youths needs to do better I swear. We all need to have that mindset that what works for you, might not work for me" Do things according below your finances and not above your finances .
