El casabe, las arepas y sobre todo las cachapas, son uno de los acompañantes más populares de la gastronomía en esta región del país; es por eso que uno de los lugares que visité en esta ciudad fue el restaurante EL GRAN MAUTE G.D, al cual fuimos a almorzar mi esposo y Yo, luego de un recorrido por la ciudad.

Este lugar es muy bonito y pintoresco. El área donde sirven la comida es al aire libre; sin embargo, la temperatura es muy fresca y agradable porque allí hay mucha brisa. Por otro lado, las personas que atienden a los clientes son muy amables y simpáticas.

En este lugar la especialidad son las cachapas con cochino frito; todo es muy sabroso. También te ofrecen diferentes tipos de ensaladas, parrillas mixtas con carne, pollo y cochino acompañadas de Coca-Cola, jugo natural o una bebida o guarapo de limón preparado con papelón (jugo de la caña de azúcar).
Cómo pueden apreciar en este plato, la comida es muy sabrosa. A pesar de que las mejores cachapas que he probado son las que para mi esposo esta vez decidimos darnos el placer de probar estas cachapas con cochino frito, mantequilla y queso de mano que, por cierto, también están muy sabrosas. Además acompañamos nuestra comida con un sabroso guarapo de papelón.
In this place the specialty is the cachapas with fried pork; everything is very tasty. They also offer different types of salads, mixed grills with meat, chicken and pork accompanied by Coca-Cola, natural juice or a drink or lemon guarapo prepared with papelón (sugar cane juice).
As you can appreciate in this dish, the food is very tasty. Although the best cachapas I have ever tasted are the ones for my husband, this time we decided to treat ourselves to these cachapas with fried pork, butter and hand cheese which, by the way, are also very tasty. We also accompanied our meal with a tasty guarapo of papelón.
Lo único malo es que la cachapa era muy grande y creo que comimos demasiado, pero lo hicimos con gusto jajajaja.
Cuando vayas a Maturín no dejes de visitar este lugar.
