The cost of transportation in this area is so allow me to the extent that going to church on Sunday we will limited because you have to spend all most 2K to get to your destination on bike.
Been my first time in this environment or community at large, i decided to dress up on this beautiful Sunday morning and go to a church which is Catholic where I can worship God. I stepped out of my home and proceeded you the main gate down the road so I could get a bike that will take me directly to the place.
However come on the price I had in mind was way lesser than what these bike men where charging me, one of them even looked at me like I do not know what I am doing and said 1k to get my destination I told him off before I got one that accepted 600 naira. On getting to the church I enjoy every bit of the mass because the priest was interesting and preached so well that it touched the soul.
As a student I really do not know if one would be able to cope with spending 2K every Sunday for transportation. I am planning to ask around if there is any mass center close to where I am staying because that place is very far without even considering the money the risk and time you would use in getting to church can make you late or even have accidents on the way.
That was how the first time I got you this bike riders would inflate their prices so high looking at you like a Johnny just come. I was so smart about you that anywhere I always asked by colleagues the amount that would transport me to different areas before I board the bikes if not they would scam you and you would not be able to do anything about it.
There was one time I was oblivious of a prize and when the bike charged me although I beat it down a little but on getting to my location I realized that that distance was not worth the ridiculous amount I paid for that trip but what could I do I have already fallen victim of the high prizes he said for me and the bike man will think he was smart.
My point is that transportation is becoming Alarming in my country because the height in fuel prices has made transporters both bikes and vehicles increase transport fares. Most times people get stranded and have to trek long distance because they cannot afford to pay the fares. Hopefully things gets better in my country.
I was just here to rant about how my day went

Most times, these bike men purposely inflate prices because of their own personal greed. It is heart wrenching that the cost of transportation is now on the high side even in rural areas. I hope you find a church close to you to cut cost.
