Self love scrapbook

A year ago, I did this scrapbook that focuses on self love and stress-free creativity. It was this time I was very much into journaling and expressing my creativity through scrapbooks, bullet journals, and the likes.

I just paused on doing it because my printer's printhead started having lines, which likely means there was a clog in there and I still haven't fixed it yet. Since the focus of the scrapbook is for self-love and visual reminder of an identity I was starting to forget, printing pictures were crucial. So that halted temporarily. :D

I really want a "vintage" sort of feel to match the notebook that I have. I added some of those washi tapes, stickers, and papers to match the vibe I was going for. This is honestly another great way to express my creativity since I wasn't drawing or painting. I love doing things with my hands and the feel of the paper and stickers was just therapeutic.

I also added those positive sayings in there. Of course, it might seem cringe or corny to some, but learning about neuroplasticity made me realize that doing this shit actually works. They also use this in therapy and why it's effective.

I printed a lot of my old photographs because I was feeling "uninspired" aka burnout and I wanted a reminder of my photography. Self portrait photography is another medium that I use to express my creativity and apparently a great way to document the changes in your physical and mental body. :P

I printed those pictures on sticker paper btw, so the feel of just peeling it and sticking it on the paper was just satisfying af haha.

This is a self-love journal so I am gonna put all those corny ass lines in there until my mind starts believing it. Nobody wants to focus on negativity about yourself, right?

I don't really think I am behind or ahead but doing nothing or not progressing made me feel guilty about wasting time. And the font also has to be vintage-themed. :P

The image on the left was me when I was 15 or 16 I believe. I was greatly inspired by the band Alesana who are also inspired by the poet Edgar Allan Poe. :D

And the last page for this post.

I see this scrapbook as something poetic as well. All the stickers and photographs seem to tell one story together, despite the photographs having different ideas independently. Doing this more often would be really nice, just to satisfy the different interests and medium that I need for creativity. :D
