Emerging from the Lull: Embracing Friday's Promise and Getting Back into the Hive Flow

in Lifestyle4 months ago

Good evening, Hivers! It feels wonderfully good to be back here, writing to you all. It’s been a little while since my last post, and for good reason – I've been a bit under the weather. That quiet lull, forced upon you when your body needs to rest, can be challenging, especially when you're used to the vibrant pace of life here in Lagos. But I'm incredibly grateful to say that I'm feeling much better now, and what a perfect day to resurface than a beautiful Friday!

There’s a unique sense of relief that washes over you when you start to feel well again. The world seems to regain its colours, and even the everyday sounds of Lagos, which can sometimes be overwhelming, now feel like a welcome symphony. Getting back to the rhythm of things, even simple ones, feels like a small victory after days spent primarily focused on recovery. Today was a raining day and i enjoyed it .

During my time away from posting, even when feeling unwell, the anticipation of Friday always remained a comforting thought. It's the beacon that guides us through the week, and today, it feels extra special. The air here already hums with that distinct Lagos Friday energy – a collective lightness, a palpable sense of the weekend approaching. It’s a wonderful feeling to slowly re-engage with that buzz now that my energy levels are on the rise.

My recovery period has been a lesson in embracing comfort and the simple joys. Meals became more than just fuel; they were moments to truly savor – perhaps a comforting bowl of Jollof rice, or the warmth of Shepherd's Pie. Even something as simple as cereal with whipped cream tasted like a treat for the soul when appetite returned. And of course, the steady companionship of my furry friend, [Your Dog's Name], was a constant source of quiet comfort and cheer.

As I slowly regained my strength, I found myself drawn to gentle activities that didn't demand too much. Revisiting moments of spiritual reflection with my Bible, and yes, my crochet hook and yarn became wonderful companions. The rhythmic motion of the stitches was incredibly soothing, a gentle way to reintroduce creativity and focus without overexertion. It was a beautiful reminder of the power of simple passions to heal and restore.

Stepping back into the Hive community feels like reconnecting with friends after a brief absence. I've missed sharing my thoughts and seeing what everyone else is up to. It's truly a welcoming space, and I'm looking forward to diving back into the flow. My energy might still be gently rebuilding, but the enthusiasm for creativity, sharing, and connecting is definitely back!

Wishing you all a fantastic Friday and a restorative weekend ahead. How do you find your way back to your routine and passions after a period of rest, and what are you most looking forward to this weekend? I’d love to hear your thoughts and reconnect!

Welcome back my friend, I really hear a lot about how Lagos life is always faster than elsewhere. So it's cool to relax and step away from that rate race. Sorry about feeling sick, but happy you are strong now and back to Hive. And simple things like a fresh corn meal are not that simple, but a really busy life could make them complicated. Keep on pushing my dear, welcome back!!!

Thank you 😊

Glad you're feeling better and back in the hive flow! 🐎 Looking forward to hearing more from Lagos.

I'm really glad you are back and thank God you are getting better, please take care of yourself when it is needed 😁
