It is 20 km from Dinajpur district of Bangladesh. Located in the north. It is a Hindu religion temple.A big fair is held here every year in the month of Bangla Kartik. And it stays for a whole month. Many people come from different parts of the country to visit this temple. And at that time many veers can be observed here.
There are many shops around. Tourists from abroad also come to visit here.
It was built in the eighteenth century. It is also called Terracotta Temple. Because images of the mythological stories Ramayana and Mahabharata are depicted throughout the temple.

Maharaja Pranath of Dinajpur started the construction of this temple in 1722. Later his adopted son Maharaj Ramnath completed the construction in 1752.
There are wide paths around the temple so that the priests can roam around. There are also two entrances. The entire temple is built on stone foundations and its height is more than 50 feet.

All around the temple there are balconies for the devotees to sit. The temple has a total of 21 arched doors outside 4 chambers on the ground floor, 27 on the 2nd floor and 3 entrance doors and 3 windows on the 3rd floor.
And although there is a narrow stairway to go to them, the entry of common people is currently prohibited.

I went with some of my friends. I also went with my parents as a child. I took several pictures there.

100 yards from the temple there is a small ruined temple with a bangle. Maharaja Pranath built this temple in 1704 and installed Krishna idol here.

This statue was brought from Vrindavan in India. At that time it was all India. Bangladesh is now a separate country after the partition of the country in 1947.

The height of that temple was 40 feet at that time.
Which is now ruined and the height has also decreased a lot.
In the main temple various stories of Krishna, various pictures of contemporary social life and pictures of the pastimes of the landed aristocracy are depicted here.

The temple also has beautiful terracotta carvings depicting a small troop marching in European dress, open swords and weapons.

Also some are seen carrying milk and curd. The folk artists who worked on the temple came from Krishnanagar. How skilled they were can be understood by their work.

However, you can actually see a big fair here during the Bengal Kartika month. We reached there at 11 am and turned around and left for home around 5 pm.

There was a hotel here for lunch. We ate from the hotel.

Finally, the place is very beautiful and attractive. And I had a great day that day.

I am Kanchan Roy saying goodbye to everyone today. See you in the next blog.

Until then, I hope everyone is well and healthy.

And let me know how you feel.

Thanks everyone
