¿Quieren saber cómo es la experiencia de un juego de Baseball en Caracas, Venezuela? Pues vengan conmigo porque hoy su blogger de confianza los llevará al Estadio Universitario de Caracas ⚾🏟️

Well, before we start I want to give you a little disclaimer. I don't know anything about Baseball 😅 I know, I know, I know, I already hear you asking *"Kat if you don't understand anything about Baseball, what are you doing at the stadium?" Well, a live Baseball game has a different energy. Somehow the basic knowledge you have comes together and you can follow the game quite well 😂.
Well, this blog has a bit of context. Finding tickets for the final between Sharks of La Guaira Vs Lions from Caracas was crazy. They were all sold out and the only option would be the scalpers who take advantage of the fans without a conscience.
However, my sister-in-law showed real tenacity and managed to buy 4 combos for the first 3 games through the website, which was a wait of more than 8 hours until they opened the sale.
Bueno, antes de comenzar les quiero hacer un pequeño disclaimer. No se nada de Baseball 😅 lo sé, lo sé, ya los escucho preguntando *"Kat si no entiendes nada de Baseball¿Que haces en el estadio?" Pues bueno, es que un juego de Baseball en vivo tiene una energía diferente. De alguna forma los conocimientos básicos que tienes se juntan y puedes seguir el juego bastante bien 😂
Bueno, este blog tiene un poco de contexto. Encontrar las entradas para la final entre Tiburones de La Guaira Vs Leones del Caracas fue una locura. Todas estaban agotadas y la única opción serían los revendedores que se aprovechan de la fanaticada sin que les remuerda la conciencia.
Sin embargo, mi cuñada demostró una verdadera tenacidad y logró comprar 4 combos para los 3 primeros juegos por medio de la página web, lo que fue una espera de más de 8 horas hasta que abrieron la venta.

The only bad thing (for me and my mother-in-law) is that she chose the seats in the Lions Cave 😒 but bueh details... My husband and I didn't go to the first game because the next day he had to work, so we gave our tickets to my mother-in-law and a little cousin.
On Friday, I managed to talk my best friend, Sinai into staying with my two blessings as Pua still has to take her medicine at 9pm and the game started at 7pm.
Lo único malo (para mí y mi suegra) es que eligió las sillas en la cueva de los Leones 😒 pero bueh detalles… Mi esposo y yo no fuimos al primer juego porque al día siguiente él tenía que trabajar, por lo que cedimos nuestras entradas a mi suegra y un primito.
El día viernes, conseguí hablar con mi mejor amiga, Sinaí para que se quedara con mis dos bendiciones, pues Púa aún debe tomar su medicamento a las 9pm y el juego empezó a las 7pm.

I left for my sports appointment just about the time at 6:15 😅 the idea was to go by subway but I wasn't going to make it and Engel was already waiting for me. So I had to fork out 5$ for a cab... what I didn't expect was that the traffic would force me to get off in the middle of the road 😵💫
Salí a mi cita deportiva justo sobre la hora a las 6:15 😅 la idea era ir en metro pero no iba a llegar y Engel ya me estaba esperando. Así que tocó desembolsillar 5$ para un taxi… lo que no esperaba es que el tráfico me obligará a bajarme en la mitad de la carretera 😵💫

The cab dropped me off on a street that was closed, so I was able to run and in the process, take some pictures for you guys. Here I was able to catch a glimpse of the soccer stadium and the shirt vendors. The prices were relatively good caps and shirts at 5$ sweaters at 10$ flags at 5$.... The usual stuff in hyperinflationary economies 😅.
El taxi me dejó en una calle que estaba cerrada, así que pude correr y en el proceso, tomar algunas fotos para ustedes. Aquí pude echar un vistazo al estadio de fútbol y a los vendedores de camisas. Los precios estaban relativamente bien gorras y camisas a 5$ suéteres a 10$ banderas a 5$... Lo normal en economías hiperinflacionarias 😅

Arriving at the first entrance towards the stadium, I noticed that some people who had bought from scalpers or even at the ticket office physical tickets, had been scammed. The guards were saying that it had been a mistake of overselling tickets by the Lions team. All wrong...
I went through with my QR ticket on my phone and finally met my hubby ❤️
Al llegar a la primera entrada hacia el estadio, me di cuenta de que algunas personas que habían comprado a los revendedores o incluso en las taquillas las entradas físicas, habían sido estafadas. Los guardias decían que había sido un error de sobreventa de entradas por parte del equipo de los Leones. Todo mal…
Yo pase con mi entrada QR en el teléfono y por fin me encontré con mi esposito ❤️

As I said, the stadium is a great experience in itself, even if you don't understand much about the game. Before entering the seating area there are many stands to buy food and beverages (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) as well as special brand stands with activities in which they give small gifts.
On this occasion, there was the Diablitos Underwood booth, and for participating they gave us a small deviled ham and a soda cracker. Not bad 👏🏻
Cómo les dije, el estadio es una experiencia genial en sí mismo, así no entiendas mucho del juego. Antes de entrar a la zona de las sillas hay muchos stands para comprar comidas y bebidas (alcohólicas y no) además de stands especiales de marcas con actividades en los que dan pequeños obsequios
En esta oportunidad, estaba el stand de Diablitos Underwood, y por participar nos regalaron un diablito pequeño y una galleta de soda. Nada mal 👏🏻
The food inside the stadium was expensive, but we were already there and we were not going to refuse a snack 🤭 the Hotdogs were in 2x5$, small cachapas in 5$, a cone with 5 tequeños 5$, stuffed popsicles 1,5$, ice cream in cone 2$, bags of cheese balls in 2$.

La comida dentro del estadio estaba cara, pero ya estábamos allí y no nos íbamos a negar un bocadillo 🤭 los perros estaban en 2x5$, cachapas pequeñas en 5$, un cono con 5 tequeños 5$, paletas rellenas 1,5$, helados en cono 2$, bolsas de bolitas de queso en 2$

The energy in the stadium is magical. If you give yourself a chance to really be there to focus on the game and ask if you don't know something, you can have a really fun time.
For example. These two teams, sharks and lions, have shared the university stadium as their home for many, many years, due to the proximity of both cities. And although in La Guaira there is already a beautiful stadium for the team, there is a lot of politics involved.
La energía en el estadio es mágica. Si te das una oportunidad de estar allí realmente de concentrarte en el partido y de preguntar si no sabes algo, puedes pasar un rato muy divertido.
Por ejemplo. Estos dos equipos, tiburones y leones comparten el estadio universitario como casa desde hace muchísimos años, debido a la cercanía de ambas ciudades. Y aunque en la Guaira ya existe un estadio precioso para el equipo, hay mucha política de por medio.
But anyway, what I want to tell you is that when Tiburones is home club, the team's official samba group is present and every time the Sharks score, get on base or strike out the opposing batter, the music floods every corner of the stadium 💃🏻🎶.
But the fans also play a very important role with their cheers and battle cries and the stadium's own rituals to keep the excitement going, such as turning on their cell phone flashlights or raising their arms to the cheerleader's shout.
Pero en fin, lo que quiero contarles es que cuando Tiburones es Home Club, está presente el grupo de samba oficial del equipo y cada vez que los tiburones anotan, se embasan o ponchan al bateador rival, la música inunda cada rincón del estadio 💃🏻🎶
Pero también la fanaticada cumple un papel muy importante con sus porras y gritos de guerra y rituales propios del estadio para mantener la emoción como encender la linterna de los celulares o levantar los brazos al grito del animador.

Well into the 5th inning my brothers-in-law and sister-in-law arrived, just in time to see one of Los Leones' runs and scream with excitement. But their joy was short-lived because the sharks won that game 🤭.
On the way out, I was able to take pictures of the two team merchandise stores. In particular I saw a Sharks shirt that I really liked because of the message on the back "One Team, One Family, One Goal" but they didn't have one for the ladies (and I don't want to spend that much this week either 😅).
Already in the bottom of the ninth my companions decided to leave sulking about the defeat, although I had a great time 🤣🤣
Ya entrado el 5to inning llegaron mis cuñados, justo a tiempo para ver una de las carreras de Los Leones y gritar de la emoción. Pero la alegría les duraría poco pues los tiburones ganaron ese encuentro 🤭
Al salir, pude tomar fotos de las dos tiendas de mercancía de los equipos. En particular vi una camisa de los tiburones que me gustó mucho por el mensaje que llevaba detrás "Un equipo, Una Familia, Una Meta" pero no tenían para damas (y tampoco quiero gastar tanto está semana 😅)
Ya en la parte baja del noveno mis acompañantes decidieron irse enfurruñados por la derrota, aunque yo la pasé muy bien 🤣🤣

At the time this post is published we are about to play the last game and find out who will be the champion of the 2022-2023 season of the Venezuelan league. I honestly hope the sharks win. They haven't won the title for 36 years, so it's their turn (and they are the most cheerful fans unlike the lions who are pretentious).
Anyway I hope you liked this post 😊 I had a great time those two days (although the day after the sharks won, the lions won 🙄) See you next time. Paz✌🏻
Al momento en que esté post es publicado estamos a punto de jugar el último juego y saber quién será el campeón de la temporada 2022-2023 de la liga venezolana. Honestamente espero que los tiburones ganen. Llevan 36 años sin ganar el título, así que ya les toca
(y es la fanaticada más alegre a diferencia de los leones que son unos pretenciosos)
En fin espero que les haya gustado este post 😊 yo la pasé muy bien esos dos días (aunque al día siguiente de la victoria de los tiburones, los leones se alzaron con la victoria 🙄) Nos leemos la próxima. Paz✌🏻

Amiga @kat-nee. que bonito poder disfrutar de un partido de béisbol en vivo, sin duda alguna se siente una gran emoción como tu misma lo expresas, ademas de toda la vibra y energía del lugar cada vez que sus jugadores están cerca de anotar una carrera.
En cuanto a los costos de la co ida de verdad que si estaba muy costosa, y esto me hace valorar aun mas mi comunidad donde uno puedo comparar las cosas aun precio mas accesible, allí como que todo sale a 5 dolares así poquito como si fuera un pelo que se le cae al gato jajaja
