Last April 10th was the Dental Hygienist's Day, reason why we celebrated with Maye, my dental hygienist, our boss surprised her with a small cake but quite delicious and we (my colleague, the receptionist and myself) after the day we took her for a pizza which she loves and we love the same, it is the second one we eat in a few days.
It is a privilege to have her in my team, because she is the one who helps me to make my job easier when I need an instrument that is not in the tray or some biomaterial that needs to be mixed to place it in the patients' molars, she is dedicated to her vocation and also makes me laugh a lot with her witticisms.
A hygienist is more than the fourth hand of a dentist, is who gives us his unconditional support during a complicated exodontia, I still have to celebrate with my hygienist of the medical service and that will be shared in the coming days.

El pasado 10 de Abril fue el Día de la Higienista Dental, razón por la cuál celebramos junto a Maye mi higienista del consultorio, nuestro jefe la sorprendió con un pequeño pastel pero bastante delicioso y nosotras (mi colega, la recepcionista y mi persona) después de la jornada la llevamos por una pizza qué le encantan y a nosotras igual, es la segunda qué nos comemos en pocos días.
Es un privilegio poder tenerla en mi equipo, porque es quién me ayuda a hacer mi trabajo más fácil cuando necesito algún instrumento que no esté en la bandeja o algún biomaterial que necesite ser mezclado para colocarlo en las muelitas de los pacientes, es entregada a su vocación y además me hace reír un montón con sus ocurrencias.
Un higienista es más que la cuarta mano de un odontólogo, es quién nos da su apoyo incondicional durante una exodoncia complicada, aún me falta celebrar con mi higienista del servicio médico y eso se le compartiré en los próximos días.
