22 Days on the Carnivore Diet: A Summary

I spent 22 days on a strict carnivore diet. No plants, no grains, no sugars.

The experience was rather revealing. Here’s what I found.


The Positives

The benefits appeared quickly and accumulated:

  • Cognition became impeccable, sharper than at any recent point in memory.

  • Mood swings disappeared.

  • Energy swings vanished; no more sudden crashes.

  • Endurance increased noticeably.

  • Strength rose as well.

  • Recovery after workouts became faster.

  • Intrusive thoughts were absent.

  • Emotional stability improved (other people’s negativity no longer affected me).

  • Enamel on teeth showed signs of natural healing.

  • Skin cleared.

  • Lymphatic circulation improved.

  • Even my facial appearance became more defined and vibrant.

  • And perhaps most surprising: fruits and vegetables no longer appealed. Any thought of sugar felt repulsive, as if the body itself had rejected it.

In short, body and mind both shifted toward stability and strength.


The Drawbacks

The diet was not without turbulence.

  • The first 10 days brought three intense “keto flu” phases: waves of fatigue and irritability, as my metabolism adapted.
  • Minimal bowel movement was also present. I suffered no repercussions, but it was noticeable.

Detox Protocol

Alongside the diet, I ran a detox routine:

Morning:

  • A pinch of Adriatic sea salt

  • ½ teaspoon of organic cayenne pepper

  • 1 tablespoon of extra virgin olive oil

Midday:

  • 2 drops of turpentine

  • ~10 grams of extra virgin coconut oil

This became part of the daily rhythm.


The Caloric Experiment

I consumed an absurd amount of food: 4–5 servings per day, each exceeding 1,000 calories.

The aim: test whether overeating would preserve or even increase weight and body fat.

The result was the opposite. I lost stubborn fat around and beneath the navel, the very fat that resists ordinary dieting.


On Turpentine

The most frequent question: Did turpentine work?

The honest answer: I don’t know. I saw nothing unusual expelled from the body. But most parasites and pathogens are microscopic. Absence of visible evidence is not proof of absence.

Closing Thoughts

Twenty-two days on carnivore restructured both mind and body. I am now convinced that the carnivore diet is the only truly healthy diet.

The trade-offs were real, but the results were undeniable. As with any fuel, adaptation demands discipline. Yet once the body adjusts, it performs like never before.

I am not going back to the so-called “everything in moderation” diet, ever.
