The Brave Browser is quickly growing in popularity. Brave reported in June that its monthly active users went over 15 Million. While the total number creators now verified on Brave has exceeded 840K. And now with the buzz in the crypto market and Alts having a good run, Brave is set to continue to grow.
Last night I was searching for a Brave Creators community online and I didn't find one. Brave does have an official community which is awesome. However, it does not seem to focus on helping the Creator. And I don't see creators helping creators within the community.
#Web3 and #blockchain are new to many creators. The ability to earn as a creator is changing from a centralized model to a decentralized model and those making the leap of faith are still early adaptors.
So what better place to set up a community that here on Hive for Brave Creators to gather. A place where the community can learn more about the options available for them to grow using blockchain technology. A place where they can support each other's growth. Somewhere to share tips, tricks, and hacks. Learn a little about Crypto, Learn about Hive, Learn Loads about Brave, Learn about being a creator, and growing your following.
What would be really awesome would be for @peakd to eventually partner with Brave to allow Brave tipping as we see on Twitter or even Youtube. I watched a video from @theycallmedan where he talks about Bridging between blockchains and communities and this would be for sure an awesome bridge. I tweeted about the idea last night and it got an amazing response and I am sure people have suggested the same before. Technically I don't know how to make it happen, but we can start by getting people talking :-)

I think PeakD is already a verified creator, I can see it on my end.
Or does this functionality mean we can tip the PeakD folks but we can't tip users via PeakD? I think that's what you mean but want to check.
Peakd is verified, but each creator on peakd is not. Kinda like the way youtibe is not verified, but creators on the site are, that would be better 😄
Ah yes, makes sense. I have it verified on Twitter and received a tip on there, that was really cool!
I will make it a habit to check this community periodically to see if we can get somethings going. I'll try to post in it as well!

I have been using brave for a long time now and think it is a great door into crypto as well as making people realise how much their attention is worth.

I use brave every day on both my desktop and my mobile and its awesome, I hope to see more from them and building more bridges with other projects, there's plenty of room to improve the product. I also signed up our site for brave rewards, I do think they need to do something about prompting users when it is brave verified, I'm pretty sure users aren't tipping sites much because of it
I agree too. People need to be promoted and not have to self-search. That's why Youtubers ask people to subscribe and websites have pop-ups. Asking people to tip is just as easy and could become normal if we can educate the creators. Such a pity brave is not doing more to promote creators. But if we can get this community active and then invite some of the bat team over, we could help all round.
Agreed! I see if a site is a web 3 site it has a banner to say enable a web wallet so I can’t see why it can’t be the same for brave verified members
I’d love to see what the tipping ecosystem looks like in Brave who is tipping who recvies the most tips which sites are brave users using the most and so on!
I would love to see some data too. From what I have read, tips are anonymous which is done somehow via the blockchain. I remember trying to look for a data source before and not finding one. But now I have found https://www.bat.watch/ so there must be some sort of access to data and what is encrypted and public I don't know till I find it
On Desktop, there's a tick at the end of the address bar indicating if a website is verified.
Yeah I know about that but its tiny as shit and whose going to notice that? Would like to have something more apparent for the user!

It is so tiny at higher resolutions. I just played with the banner options in the Brave Creator's portal, to see if there is anything different that pops up post-configuration.
It told me it would take up to 24 hours to update, so I'll check again in a day or two.
Thanks for the feedback, I haven't really had time to go through all the features of Brave to be totally honest. I did read they wanted to release their own banner ad service soon which I think would really supercharge this thing. The push notification ads are nice but they few and far between.
Have you been able to earn some BAT from ads?
I only signed on as a creator about a week ago, and started using Brave at about the same time. I'm a newbie when it comes to BAT!
I wouldn't expect a lot of rewards via my site, as the demographic of visitation (and the low traffic I get) would make the pool of visitors, who are also BAT / BRAVE users incredibly unlikely.
