Son aves muy bellas, con unos colores que inundan sus plumas, y la verdad cada vez que las veo se me endulza el corazón porque con ellas se puede uno despertar todos los días muy feliz. Cuando las vi ese día, tan de cerca, no me imaginé que vería muchas más y que podríamos compartir un snack. De verdad son aves fantásticas que aceleran mi corazón y que quisiera que mi hija las viera más de cerca siempre que se pueda. En esa oportunidad estaba visitando a una tía que tiene una locación muy privilegiada cerca del Ávila, la montaña que nos separa del mar y hace de Caracas un valle esplendoroso. Pero debo admitir que donde yo vivo, quizás no se acerquen tanto, aunque de vez en cuando son vistas. Yo, les puedo comentar vivo en el Guarataro, y estoy muy orgulloso de mi barrio a pesar de todo. Claro, quiero que mi hija crezca quizás en otro entorno, pero puedo decir que del barrio han salido personas muy emprendedoras y exitosas, yo estoy procurando ser una de esas personas también.
Y ver a las guacamayas tan de cerca solo me hace pensar que fui muy suertudo en esa ocasión. Fui una persona muy afortunada y que tal vez para mí, no es algo que pueda ver siempre y a cada momento. Pero puedo decir que donde vivo, en la casa de mi mamá, hay un terreno grande donde se han plantado muchas flores y plantas, y siempre es todo muy silvestre, tenemos ese espacio verde para respirar aire puro a pesar de que estamos en medio de la ciudad, con los autos, las gandolas, las camionetas y demás.
Con las guacamayas ese día pude divertirme mucho, como si fuese un niño aprendiendo sobre la vida, porque son seres vivos que poseen mucha gracia y mucha hermosura, que comen cosas muy delicadas y aprendí a darles un poco de frutas, y además de tomarles foto pude tener una sobre mi brazo, aunque eso no lo pude registrar, pero fue maravilloso.
Las guacamayas se han convertido en un símbolo de la ciudad, y es totalmente cierto. Como yo, en ese día, se pueden ver volando en grupos ruidosos y coloridos, o posadas en los balcones de los edificios. Las especies más comunes son la guacamaya azul y amarilla, y también hay dos tipos de guacamayas rojas. Como ven en mis fotos, pude ver las que son del primer tipo, y aún así fue hermoso. Entiendo que son aves muy hermosas y deben ser cuidadas y protegidas, y darles mucho amor cuando momentos así se dan. Y solo puedo decir que soy afortunado y quisiera que mi hija también las viera conmigo algún día.
Esas aves me inspiraron a escribir estas palabras porque me deleitó su hermosura y el privilegio que tuve espero poder tenerlo nuevamente en el futuro cercano.

They are very beautiful birds, with colors that flood their feathers, and the truth is that every time I see them my heart melts because with them one can wake up every day very happy. When I saw them that day, so close, I never imagined I would see many more and that we could share a snack. Truly, they are fantastic birds that make my heart race and that I would love my daughter to see more closely whenever possible. On that occasion I was visiting an aunt who has a location very near Ávila, the mountain that separates us from the sea and makes Caracas a splendid valley. But I must admit that where I live, perhaps they don’t come that close, although from time to time they are seen. I, I can tell you I live in Guaratáro (Guarataro), and I’m very proud of my neighborhood despite everything. Of course, I want my daughter to grow up perhaps in another environment, but I can say that people from the neighborhood have become very enterprising and successful, and I’m trying to be one of those people as well.
And to see the macaws up close makes me think I was very lucky that day. I was a very fortunate person and perhaps, for me, it isn’t something I can see all the time, every moment. But I can say that where I live, at my mom’s house, there is a large plot of land where many flowers and plants have been planted, and it’s always very wild; we have that green space to breathe fresh air even though we’re in the middle of the city, with cars, trucks, vans, and so on.
With the macaws that day I had a lot of fun, like a child learning about life, because they are living beings that possess a lot of grace and beauty, that eat very delicate foods, and I learned to give them a little fruit, and besides taking photos I managed to have one on my arm, although I couldn’t record that, but it was wonderful.
Macaws have become a symbol of the city, and it is absolutely true. Like me, on that day, they can be seen flying in loud, colorful groups, or perched on the balconies of buildings. The most common species are the blue-and-yellow macaw, and there are also two types of red macaws. As you can see in my photos, I was able to see the ones of the first type, and even so it was beautiful. I understand they are very beautiful birds and they must be cared for and protected, and given them a lot of love when moments like these occur. And I can only say that I am lucky and I would like my daughter to see them with me someday.
Those birds inspired me to write these words because I delighted in their beauty and the privilege I had, and I hope to have it again in the near future.
