Weekend time again, and that means CATURDAY time again!

Getting Ready!
Today is my last day to be the only cat in the house, because tomorrow our new cat lodger "Smudge" arrives!

Smudge is an older lady kitty — she's 14 — who's coming to live with us because her Hooman is moving to the Dominican Republic and was too afraid Smudge wouldn't pass the health inspections/quarantine requirements, OR make the stressful trip there, at her age.
So we agreed to give Smudge a loving home to live out her golden years.
My Mom-Hooman has met Smudge several times and says she has a very sweet personality and mostly assumes her "liquid form" while napping on the floor.
Although I have enjoyed being the spoiled only cat in the house for a while, it'll be nice to have another of my kind here. I like Daisy — the dog — well enough, but dogs are just not the same as cats!
Smudge is used to having both other cats and dogs around, so hopefully the transition won't be too difficult for her!

Meanwhile... Hive Looking Good!
Meanwhile, it's nice to finally see our Hive token showing some strength at a time when most of the Cryptosphere has been looking a little bit shaky.
"Critical Mass" is an interesting thing, when it comes to projects and businesses.
We look at some of the huge successes in the world — Amazon, eBay, Yahoo, Microsoft — and find their numbers amazing... but we often overlook the fact that they typically went sideways for as much as 5-10 years before everything suddenly took off.
I also like that things are pretty much "holding steady" around the $1.00 mark, about since the end of HiveFest.
Slow but steady growth that lasts is far better than crazy moonshots that collapse a week later! Not as exciting, perhaps... but I'm here for the long run, not for next week's pizza money!

Caturday Community by @saboin is a community where we get to celebrate posts relating to Saturday — aka "Caturday" — our own special day!
Cat Photos by @andrarchy is a "mixed use" cat content community; posts can be just photos or longer, as long as the subject is CATS! It has a lot of subscribers but is not very active.
Cats by @captainklaus (and Sissi!) is another "general" cat content community; it's there, but not very active.
Last, but certainly not least, a special shoutout to the recently formed Hive Pets Community which has become quite active and has quite a bit of cat content!
There are a number of other feline communities listed on Hive, but I am not sharing them for now as they have not had any activity (by their Admins OR users) since the Steem/Hive fork. Updates as they become available!

Smudge arrived safely today! She's having some quiet time in her new surroundings in our living room... and we'll be going slowly on the introduction process.
