Este hermoso gato se llama Mathew. Vive en casa de @iraeli. Hace algún tiempo hubiera dicho "es una de las mascotas de @iraeli" pero ahora se sabe que los gatos seleccionan sus mascotas y en qué casa van a vivir. Entonces, la amiga @iraeli es su mascota.
Mathew llegó a casa de @iraeli en forma muy original.
This beautiful cat is called Mathew. It lives at @iraeli's house. Some time ago I would have said "it's one of @iraeli's pets" but now it is known that cats select their pets and in which house they will live. So, the friend @iraeli is its pet.
Mathew arrived at @iraeli's house in a very original way.
Una mañana, muy temprano, sentimos un llanto agudo y extraño. El gatito estaba acostado en esa esquina del muro que separa la casa de @iraeli de la de su vecina. La vecina decía que parecía que lo habían envenenado, por la forma como lanzaba verdaderos alaridos."Zamuro", un chico amigo de la familia subió con una escalera y lo trajo a casa.
Fué un poco problemático porque los ocho perros y los dos gatos de @iraeli se pusieron nerviosos ante el desconocido.
Se le revisó...no tenía herida alguna. Estaba muy cachorrito pero tenía las patas muy largas...como desproporcionadas para un gato. Unos incisivos prominentes (poco usuales en los gatos comunes) Barajamos hipótesis que iban desde que podía ser una cría de pantera hasta que tal vez era producto de una manipulación genética y se había escapado.
One morning, very early, we felt a sharp and strange cry. The kitten was lying on that corner of the wall that separates @iraeli's house from her neighbor's. The neighbor said that it seemed that he had been poisoned, because of the way he let out real screams. "Zamuro", a boy friend of the family climbed a ladder and brought him home.
It was a bit problematic because @iraeli's eight dogs and two cats got nervous at the stranger.
It was checked...ithad no injuries. It was very young but its legs were very long...like disproportionate for a cat. Some prominent incisors (unusual in common cats) We shuffled hypotheses that ranged from that it could be a panther calf to that perhaps it was the product of genetic manipulation and had escaped.
Bueno... hay muchos detalles en la historia de Mathew pero no quiero alargarme mucho. Sólo agregar que corrió de casa a los otros dos gatos (Ignacio y Prince) y ahora él solo reina en casa.
Con el tiempo Prince murió e Ignacio se aparece rapidito y como de visita cada dos o tres días.

Mathew es extraño...no maúlla...nunca lo ha hecho. Emite un sonido que recuerda el de una puerta cuyas bisagras están oxidadas y - aunque no me lo crean - dice "mamá" a @iraeli con ese mismo sonido lastimero y raro.
Mathew is weird...it doesn't meow...it never has. It makes a sound that reminds one of a door whose hinges are rusty and - believe it or not - it says "mama" to @iraeli with that same weird and pitiful sound.
Le fascina comer tomates crudos, aunque su alimentación actual - por recomendación del veterinario - consiste casi exclusivamente de sardinas crudas. Come tres a mediodía y otras tres en la noche.
It loves eating raw tomatoes, although its current diet - on the recommendation of the vet - consists almost exclusively of raw sardines. Eat three at noon and another three at night.
