A Catupdate on Caturday!

Hey there, cat lovers! It's been a while since the last time I shared something about our cat family. I've been busy with a lot of stuff for the past few months, but that doesn't mean I didn't have time for them. During those months there are a lot of things that happened. Not all of our cats survived those long months...and that's somehow one of the reasons why I lay low in sharing about them. Chipapi and Chipipa didn't survive that long, and that really saddened us. We tried a lot of things to save them; we even stayed at night, but unfortunately they didn't make it through.

I really cried because I was there when they heaved their last breath. Chipipa was the first one to let go, and the day after it, Chipapi followed. Losing them really affected us because it somehow made us afraid to adopt or let Chicha have their little ones in our house because we're afraid to witness another death again. The problem with raising those kittens is that once Chicha got too comfortable with us, she often left her kittens with us. Those kittens don't eat solid food yet, so it's hard for us to look for ways to feed them. We tried feeding them goat's milk because that worked with Luna and Chappy before, but unfortunately in Chipapi's case, they won't drink a lot because they're really craving their mother's milk.

That's why it wasn't long before they became thinner, and eventually they stopped drinking. That was such a sad week for us, yet we have to move on not only for us but also for the other cats. After the grieving, life went on for us and also for our cats, and after months of having no kitten, Chicha got pregnant again. We were quite afraid because she might rely on us again, so we didn't let her get inside our house for a while. Anyway, we couldn't endure her and her kittens when it rained heavily, so we let them inside. She resided again in our cabinet, and there she put her kitten. She initially has three kittens, but it seems the first one is premature. I mentioned she just put a kitten on the cabinet because she just left Milo outside. We're the ones who brought him inside together with Alaska.

I thought this time, Chicha would learn how to really care for her kittens, but sadly we found out days later that Milo passed away. That morning he's still breathing, yet when my sister checked them that afternoon, he's already stiff and cold. It seemed Chicha slept on top of him because he looks like he's flattened. We don't understand Chicha because it seemed she never cared for Milo. She always seemed attentive when Alaska cries, but when it's Milo crying, she doesn't care. We even need to move her one time because Milo was crushed when she slept.

We buried Milo next to our cats who died last year. Seeing a cat die is really taxing to our emotions because even if they haven't stayed that long with us, we've somehow gotten attached to them. Anyway, Alaska's really a fighter because every time Chicha feeds him, he really does his best to drink as much as he can. And that would be all for now, and before I end this cat update, here are sassy pictures of Maning as he posed in front of my camera—he's hoping that y'all have a blessed Caturday ฅ^•ﻌ•^ฅ

Oh dear... cats should live long and happy lives, but anything can happen... My cats Lyusya, Max, Gosha, and Lavina are also running across the rainbow bridge... May they rest in peace.

Yeah...I mean, they're supposed to have nine lives, but I guess those cats are meant to rest eternally. It's really sad, but I'm thankful they aren't suffering anymore; at least that's one thing that consoles me. And yeah, may they rest in peace😔
