Leccinum mushrooms are not good for cats because the risk of fatal misidentification is high, their effects on feline metabolism are completely unknown and unstudied, and they offer no nutritional benefit while posing a significant threat of making your cat severely ill. The only safe rule is to never feed your cat any wild mushroom. This is just FYI. And we actually did not feed the fungus. Safety first.

I was quite worried when I read the title because edible wild mushrooms that are safe for consumption are really hard to identify, so it's better to avoid feeding them those. Definitely agree with you—safety first!
