Imagine this: You're stretched out on a pristine beach in Koh Samui, Thailand, the sun kissing your skin, and the turquoise waves gently lapping at the shore. There's something truly magical about this tropical paradise, and it gets even better when you have an ice-cold beer in hand.

During my unforgettable holiday in Koh Samui, I had the absolute pleasure of savoring some delightful local Thailand beers. As I savored every sip, I couldn't help but dive into the fascinating history behind these Thai Beers while capturing its essence in a mini photoshoot for the Beer Community on Hive! Stay tuned for a series of posts on the different Thai Beers to follow! 🤗

A Brief History of Full Moon Brewworks

While I've been diving into the world of iconic Thai beers (Chang and Singha) during my tropical escapade, a delightful surprise came my way in the form of Chatri IPA by Full Moon Brewworks. This craft brewery, with an intriguing story of its own, introduced me to a new beer experience that I couldn't resist capturing and sharing with you guys!

Full Moon Brewworks, like its name suggests, is a brewery that thrives under the enchanting allure of moonlight. Established in 2015 in the vibrant heart of Thailand, this brewery has swiftly risen to fame for its dedication to crafting exceptional beers. Each brew is an artistic expression, brewed with passion and precision. What truly sets Full Moon Brewworks apart is its innovative approach to beer-making. They combine traditional methods with inventive, modern twists to create a delightful selection of craft beers, each with its own unique character and charm 😉

The Hungry Wolf: A Western Haven

Now, let's talk about how I stumbled upon the Chatri IPA. While searching for a lunch spot with friends, we chanced upon a restaurant called "The Hungry Wolf". Since our Koh Samui adventure had been dominated by savoring authentic Thai cuisine, one of my friends was craving the taste of home and particularly – a juicy burger 🤤

The menu at The Hungry Wolf offered a tantalizing selection of Western dishes, and I was particularly enticed by their specialty, the "Little Wolf Cheeseburger". As I continued to browse the menu, my focus was captivated by their extensive beer options they had. Unlike my friend, I had a strong craving for an ice-cold beer instead, especially in the sweltering weather. It was at that moment that I was introduced to Full Moon Brewworks for the very first time! 😍

Chatri IPA: A Hoppy Revelation

After perusing the beer options, I decided to dive into the world of Full Moon Brewworks and selected the Chatri IPA. My iPhone was immediately out, ready to capture the memory of this newfound brew. The Chatri IPA is a true revelation for hop enthusiasts. Bursting with a medley of flavors that dance on my palate, it delights with citrusy notes, floral aromas, and the sweet-tart tang of grapefruit.

After conducting some research on their official website, I discovered that the Chatri IPA is crafted using a combination of Galaxy hops, Citra, and Cascade—renowned American hop varieties. This flavorful IPA proudly features an International Bitterness Units (IBU) of 55 and an Alcohol By Volume (ABV) of 5.2%. It's an experience that fosters a deep appreciation for the craftsmanship and artistry that goes into creating this exceptional brew! 👏

The Hungry Wolf: A Recommended Stop

Our visit to The Hungry Wolf proved to be a delightful and satisfying experience. The burgers were scrumptious, and my friend's craving was fully satisfied. As for me, I couldn't be happier with my discovery of Chatri IPA from Full Moon Brewworks! 😋

The restaurant, conveniently located in a prominent area of Koh Samui's Chaweng Beach, offer a fuss-free dining experience with great Western-style food. I highly recommend a visit, whether you're craving a burger or in pursuit of exceptional craft beers.

Till the next post of another Thai Beer! ✌️
