Although many people say this is a world class beer, I did not have that impression. This is German lager beer made with only water, barley and hops, in accordance with German purity laws. But for me the taste was heavy and I did not particularly like it. This Munich-style Helles beer comes from the oldest independent brewery in Munich founded in 1328 by Augustinian monks. In-spite brewery's long tradition, to me this beer tastes like a cheap off-the-peg beer.

The normal Augustiner not the Edelstoff is much better in my opinion and one of my favorites!
