Hofmistr je světlý, spodně kvašený 12° ležák s asi 5% volného alkoholu. Na pohled zlatavější barvy, než měla „Ema“. O husté pěně si můžu nechat zdát, ale bude to spíš tím, že ochutnávám pivo doma a nemám ten správný cvik, jak přelít zlatavý mok z láhve do sklenice :-).
Hofmistr is a light, bottom-fermented 12° lager with about 5% free alcohol. A more golden color to look at than "Ema" had. I can dream about a thick foam, but it will be more because I'm tasting beer at home and I don't have the right practice to pour the golden liquid from the bottle into the glass :-).
Chuťově se mi zdála „Ema“ plnější a výraznější. „Hofmistr“ je, podle mě sladší, i když nějaké hořké tóny jsem zaznamenal také. A kupodivu se mi tam vloudila i lehká vůně a chuť patrně vlašských ořechů (podle mých chuťových buněk). Celkově vyvážená chuť i když ne tak výrazná jako u „Emy“.
S klidným svědomím mohu „Hofmistr“ zařadit do kategorie „chutná“. Jen ještě nevím, jestli toto pivo budu vyhledávat častěji nebo jen sporadicky.
Dovedu si však představit, že na nějaké párty (pivovar dodává toto pivo i v sudech) by „Hofmistr“ pozvedl náladu nejednomu hostu :-).
S klidným svědomím mohu „Hofmistr“ zařadit do kategorie „chutná“. Jen ještě nevím, jestli toto pivo budu vyhledávat častěji nebo jen sporadicky.

And strangely, a slight smell and taste of walnuts (according to my taste buds) crept in there. Overall a balanced taste, although not as pronounced as "Emma".
With a clear conscience, I can put "Hofmistr" in the "delicious" category. I just don't know yet if I will seek out this beer more often or only sporadically.
However, I can imagine that at a party (the brewery also supplies this beer in kegs) "Hofmistr" would lift the mood of many a guest :-).

Ah yes the Czechs know how to brew a good beer and Germany has nothing on them! Iconic Pils and centuries of fantastic brewing.
