Beer Saturday Badger Golden Glory.

in BEERlast month

Something a bit different this Beer Saturday a Halls and Woodhouse Badger beers in Blandford, Dorset. Golden Glory a 4.5 %ABV a golden ale with a very fruity peach flavour, not something I’ve come across before.

I really like the label which is really quirky old seafaring captain but Halls and Woodhouse have got habit of doing that and many of there beer bottle labels are a bit different and eye catching.

The pour was a bit on the lively side and took a few minutes to settle and get the rest of the bottle in the glass.

Finally got a full glass. But well worth the wait when I did it was a tasty golden ale.

As expected it kept the head lasted right through to the end of the glass, and it was tasty right down to the last mouthful.

So Hive beer fans it was a present tipple and one I will look forward to getting in the future.

Halls and Woodhouse established in 1777 is an old well established brewery that I have a bit of history with. When I was working as a marine engineer I did my 2nd Engineer training in Warsash near Southampton the collage bar was supplied by Halls & Woodhouse beers and every now and again they would organise a brewery tour which was always a real treat as they organised a free bar and pub snacks after the tour.

Sort:

I'm not flavoured beer, sometimes it's too sweet or the fruity side is too strong. But the design with this eagle is quite good.
Cheers 🍻

It's not that sweet but not to everybodys taste. I think it would make a nice change on a warm summers day.
