Quick pint or half in an old pub. #beersaturday

in BEERlast year

While up in Exeter the other day with @scubahead we both felt a bit of a thirst coming on so popped into the Turks Head on the High Street next to the Guildhall. The pub is around 700 years old but still not the oldest pub in Exeter that is the Ship Inn on the the cathedral green so maybe I’ll tell you about that one another day.

The pub is long and narrow about the same width all the way down as the frontage one thing I didn’t know was they also have a micro brewery attached to the pub so you will always be sure there are some interesting beers.

So beer fans what did I have. Unfortunately I was driving so it was only a cheeky half of “Cash is King” a 4.3% ABV red ale brewed on site.

It really was a pity I was driving and it was only a half because it was a very smooth and drinkable pint. The next time I'm going up on the train.
